Win or not, not of course would assure they won't be around at the #1 spot, but that was one pathetic 1st half showing for any team let alone the number one team in the country. Supposedly.

A lot of people understand that teams get up for home games especially against teams that are the calibur of USC. This leaves no damn excuse for the Trojans to about to be down 17-21 points. NONE. The Trojans are only down three scores and can get that back in a hurry so I'm not sure what the commotion is about juuussstt yet.

This is just an incredible effort by the Beavers. It happens to a lot of teams to play close away from home.

Oh definitely, no excuses whatsoever, you're absolutely correct.

As I've been saying for about 2 weeks now though, this game was going to be 1 of 3 big tests and potential stumbling blocks for USC because of their weak secondary, lack of a big play offense, being a Thursday night game which is unheard of in the Pac-10, and of course USC's history at Oregon State who's a completely different animal at home.
