Yes they definitely looked better against Germany because Reyna was on the field for Germany and they are like night and day when he plays. Its still disappointing for me to think of that day, the non-call on the handball and the usual shakiness on those set plays that did them in for the goal, all because the obvious need for a big central defender. That is the disappointing thing for me, still looks like we have good skill and speed up front and in the mid-field but the U-17 guys lack that defender the team needs. Tab Ramos speculated on it a year or two ago and said guys with the size and athleticism needed to fill that spot either get good and play more offensive roles or what they normally do is just get good at other sports.
