That line is from bullshit Bookmaker, I swear I wish I could run them out of business somehow with the bullshit lines they pull.

They started Italy out at -185 then it climbed to -200, so I checked 5dimes and they had Italy at -132 before gametime.

Bookmaker is a fucking rip off.

I actually just transferred most of my funds to 5dimes, I'm closing my bookmaker account.

Tell all your friends so BM goes out of business, I fucking HATE those pricks!

I can't remember the last time I made a soccer bet there. It's like they are purposely not taking soccer action.

I have made some CFL bets there though.

I guess they make their money on other sports. They are pretty sharp on football as they are one of the first books out with football lines.

There is not a SINGLE category of sports where BM has the better line compared to 5dimes...

Bookmaker is a ripoff in every fucking way possible, seriously, sign up there and at 5dimes, and compare the baseball and soccer lines to each other.

You'll be amazed at the difference, and how much $$$ one can save by wagering at 5dimes instead of BM.

I know what you mean. Rossi was born in New Jersey but I guess he's been playing for Italy his whole international career.

yes, was raised in NJ and in the RBNY system before leaving for Italy at age 13 to join Parma juniors. I'm just jealous as he'd clearly be the top striker in the US program right now...at least Jermaine Jones decided to play for USA, not Germany, over the weekend. Hopefully will see him at Gold Cup and wait for Mac Kandji's decision

Rolltide, put yourself in his shoes.

Would YOU want to play for the US team (putting aside pride and all that other BS)?

Kinda like Hedo Turkoglu if he was to stay and play for a Turkish league team, instead of the NBA.

These are national teams though. I don't blame Rossi for playing for Italian club teams. I just wonder if Turkoglu will play for the Turkish national team in the Olympics or will he play for the US? My guess is that he will play for Turkey.

Do they really get to choose? Or does it go by citizenship?

Re Bookmaker vs Five Dimes - I always thought the various lines represent a number the bookmaker thinks will draw 50-50 action on a game. He really doesn't care which team wins the game as long as he gets action on both sides.

Maybe Bookmaker had heavy action on one side and purposely kept the line where they wanted so as to draw bets to the other team?

This is a perfect illustration of why punters need active accounts with AT LEAST TWO bookies, if not more.

Just a thought. Makes no matter to me.

That was a tough loss for the US but at least they looked a little more dangerous in attacking than they did in the past two qualifiers.

F**k putting myself in his shoes. He was born in America and grew up here but chooses Italy as his national team. And, hell yeah I'd want to play for the USMNT...you say that as if they don't make the world cup finals every 4 years.

and, yes, players do get to decide where they want to play as long as they follow FIFA rules regarding parents birthplace. actually FIFA used to have a rule that if you play for a country at junior level, you must stay tied to that nation, but recently changed the rule to further confuse everyone. Although it may give a possible opportunity for Arturo Alvarez to choose to play for El Salvador now even though he played for USA at all youth levels

btw, Holland has been abusing this for years with players of Suriname descent like Gullitt, Davids, Rijkaard, Seedorf, and Hasselbaink. Suriname would be a pretty classy side if they could keep any of the players that have the ability to play for them

Take a look at their lines. There was a time when 100% of the time for months either 5dimes or TheGreek had a better line than BookMaker. I haven't looked in months because it wasn't worth my time to look. It was obvious they didn't want serious soccer action since they were willing to let the other books hang a better line.
