NY still the only big problem. Total deaths are 622 in the US. 210 in NY.
CURRENTLY "the only problem", kind of like China was "the only problem" (according to you know who) a month ago. The US is cursed with open borders and things are heating up. US already overtaken France and will soon overtake China and Italy for infections

Overhyped?

time will tell

at the end of the day, we're going to see if it was a tad bit over hyped

just think, we're only 55,000,000 infections and 12,000 deaths short of the numbers from our last pandemic, you know, the swine flu, but the man who walks on water was POTUS then, so it was all good all the time

10k cases yesterday. 5k in NY.

don't think infected numbers are increasing as quickly as "reported", it's just that they're testing more people

21 states have 0 or 1 death.

No I don’t think we need to shutdown Montana.

Lot of those people social distance every second of every day

US Deaths now 20% up over all of yesterday, 8 hours to go today. This is the meaning of "exponential" for all the goofs trying to compare CV deaths to car accidents. US infections today at 8666, probably going over 10,000 today. Tomorrow will be interesting

Death rate is around 1.3%...within a tenth of the flu. 90% of deaths in people over 60 with at least three underlying conditions. Do the math and consider a percentage of those are at a very high risk for dying soon plus remember all of the whining about lack of tests means the denomiator of people with the virus should be much higher. Put that together and the mortaility rate is most likely easily below 1.0...not as bad as the flu. Trump is polling 60% approval for his handling of the virus. TV anchors are teaching Biden how to cover his mouth when he coughs. Let's have the election ASAP.

"Worldwide, more than 4% of patients—nearing 19,000 -- have died, with many more to come, and each death its own heartbreaking story."

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/24/opinions/germany-low-death-rate-for-coronavirus-sepkowitz/index.html

COVID-19 death death: 4.4%:

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Flu death rate: 0.060%, less than one tenth of 1% this season:

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm

Those figures make the COVID-19 death rate about 73 times higher than the flu death rate.
