great job by the USMNT today! really shocked me as I did not think they had it in them. wed will be an asskicking but, hey, made the semis
they have nothing to lose

and people were saying Egypt would kill them too.... 11 v 11 is much different then 10 v 11 for 2 games in a row...

wow to even attempt to compare egypt to spain tells me all i need to know

as much of a fan as I am of the USMNT, wed will be a disaster

we were already down 2 before the red card vs Brazil and Spain is superior to them. Torres will outscore the US by 2 or more himself

could have sworng Egypt just beat Italy ....

I bet you would pull this arrogant b.s. if i were to compare Egypt to Italy before that game aswell, ...... so that tells me all I need to know.

about the U.S./ Brazil game, 2-0 is called " the worst lead to have" at half for a reason in soccer. US hit the crossbar twice with 10 men and should have put away atleast one of the Bradley and Altidores opportunity 1 v 1 with the keeper early even after the bogus Red card that took away any momentum and early opportunities..... so your reasoning is all about big names like Brazil and Spain etc. lol

If anything the big victory and amazing qulifying today may set up for a let down , just like Egypt had set up for them today the only difference is that the US will still be huge dogs unlike Egypt who was expected to win easy vs. the US. I think the US thrives off that underdog with nothing to lose role.. kind of like 2002.

Spain "should" win, but if they think they can just show up and Torres will outscore the US team by 2 himself then they are going to get whats comming.

they thrive off the underdog with nothing to lose role? huh? we've played brazil, italy, argentina, england, and spain in the last year and scored a grand total of 1 goal

we thrive off of beating up on Concacaf teams on home soil

Very good and dominating win by the US team.

This was a VERY good Egypt team they beat (repeating African Nations Cup winners) so US fans should be proud of that accomplishment.

Unfortunately they have the Euro Cup champs next who just beat a very tough S. Africa at home and I think it will be a rather one-sided affair (3-0, 3-1). I'm hoping I'm wrong though:toast:

Most likely in that range. I'm interested in the line for Spain -1. I hate betting against my team but this wont end good and I can almost certainly double my paycheck for the week.

What are your thoughts Sure Guy?

brazil and italy we played 10 vs 11 most of the game , what dont you understand?
holy hell you're going back to this 10 v 11 thing

I'll give you it for Italy since it was 0-0 at the time but Brazil was up 2-0 already

what can't you understand about that? unreal dealing with some of you people

look, take USA +500 on wednesday and GL with that

take a look back at my posts on USMNT...I tend to know what I'm talking about

you probably hadn't even seen Egypt play before today but want to equate them with Spain because of 1-0 over Italy and 3-4 with Brazil? Did you watch the Italy match? It was a complete miracle! Egypt are barely a top 40 team in the world while we're top 15 ... did Egypt get nice results for 180' of football? yeah, but the US isn't intimidated by them. We're sure as hell intimidated by Spain, will not score a goal, lay back and "defend", and will lose by 2 or more

USA is playing with house money

Spain is expected to win and win easily

just those 2 alone would concern me to bet a weeks pay on espeacily on a neutral pitch

Spain is superior on paper but as we saw with the Egyptians beating the Itlalians anything can happen. I said in anothe reply that the U.S. seems to play better as the underdog in these games. They have shown sperts of championship caliber play but for the most part have been inconsistant all tournament until today. Spain may be taking the US lightly or maybe not, but they are expected to win, sounds like an underdog story to me. I am an American so :dancefool

And that guy Howard isn't a very good goalkeeper for the US. He always gets trashed in the postgame for being out of position, etc.

Gotta disagree with you there. Timmy Howard is an excellent keeper! He's one of the best and most respected keepers in the EPL. I would rank Howard as one of the top 20 GKs in the world right now.

i know it's the US team vs a #1 spain team, but the line value on the states is ridiculous. these teams played a friendly last year IN spain and the US lost only 1-0. this game reminds me of the US vs italy match in germany of 2006, it'll be a tight game. hopefully no red cards...

The USA have no chance in this game. They might as well be 100/1.

Tim Howard is a very good goalkeeper, David Moyes is the best manager in the game and he doesn't suffer fools gladly. He wouldn't have kept Howard around this long, you know'm sayin'?
