Yesterday the NYPD paraded Luigi Mangione out in front of cameras in some sort of bizarre perp walk spectacle. New York City’s Negro mayor Eric Adams even showed up at the event. They’re literally treating Luigi like he’s some sort of comic book villain. This has not had the desired impact. It is only making him more popular.
People are regularly shot and killed in New York City. Those other people charged with murders don’t get paraded in front of the media like this.
There’s also talk about giving him the death penalty which is interesting considering that this isn’t really a thing in New York City. They don’t give black murderers the death penalty because that would be skin color hate or something.
For some reason, the system is doing everything they can to make Luigi a martyr. I don’t know if this is intentional or unintentional. It could just be because there are stupid people managing this whole thing. It seems to be an overreaction to how scared the ruling class is at this moment. They don’t want Luigi to inspire a violent revolt with other people taking similar types of actions.
Regardless of the specifics, this whole thing is being managed very poorly by the rulers. People really could not care less that the CEO of a parasitical insurance company was killed. Why would they? That CEO was enriching himself through corrupt and unethical means.
