Two prostitution-related arrests at Palatine hotel

Tiffany Denton, 20, of Timber Lane in Vernon Hills, was charged with felony pandering and Neringa Golombeckyte, 21, of the 9900 block of 87th Ave. in Palos Hills, was charged with prostitution.
The arrests came after an undercover Arlington Heights officer, operating as part of a task force chasing prostitution ads on Craigslist, responded to a posting on the Web site and eventually met with Golombeckyte at a Palatine hotel off Northwest Highway near Route 53, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Bill Cotter.
Golombeckyte allegedly agreed to perform a sex act for $200, Cotter said.
Subsequently, officers learned of Denton's role in the prostitution scheme as the person in charge of posting Craigslist ads and vetting customers, Cotter said. Denton, he said, was located in another room at the hotel.
Denton has a criminal record that includes other prostitution and drug related charges in the suburbs, Cotter said. Golombeckyte has a record that includes underage drinking, criminal trespass and an outstanding warrant on a DUI charge, he said.
Denton's bond was set at $10,000 by a Cook County judge Saturday, meaning she will have to post $1,000 to get out of jail. Golombeckyte's bond was set at $5,000, meaning she will have to post $500.

LAS CRUCES - A Chaparral woman offering an alleged $300 "striptease" on Craigslist was arrested as a result of a New Mexico State Police sting.
Amanda Stout, 24, will be arraigned Wednesday on a misdemeanor charge of prostitution, according to court records.
Calling herself "Bambi," Stout allegedly placed an ad in the "erotic" section of online classified site Craigslist and after several hours of negotiation via text message, met the undercover agent in a hotel lobby in January.
Stout allegedly told the agent the money was a "donation" for a striptease "and anything else that happens between us is between two consenting adults."
According to court documents, when the agent said he didn't want to be "ripped off," Stout allegedly said, "No, sweetie, that's just something. You know you can't get arrested for a striptease. That's what we say" and added, "It's not just a striptease."
Three minutes later, she was arrested. Stout's profile and services offered - "escort, massage, dancer ... tuns [sic] of fun" remain online, though she reportedly no longer offering services at hotels.

Two women have been arrested for prostitution after allegedly agreeing to have sex for a fee with an undercover officer in Watertown.
City Police say their investigation began with the investigation of 35 year old Thomas Robair for criminal mischief. Police say the Brooklyn man had damaged his hotel room at Hampton Inn by firing a BB gun in the room. Damage was estimated at over $1,300.
Ariel Robinson (Jefferson County Correctional Facility)
During the investigation it was learned that Robair was affiliated with two women who had an ad on Craigslist under "adult services."
A detective called the number and ordered the "2 girl special" that was advertised. He was directed to a room at the Days Inn where he was allegedly met by 21 year old Sasha Reed of Brooklyn and 17 year old Ariel Robinson, of North Carolina.
The two agreed to have sex with the detective for a fee, police said.
Both women were charged with prostitution and Ms. Reed was also charged with promoting prostitution.
Mr. Robair, who had moved from the Hampton Inn to the Days Inn was located there and charged with criminal mischief.
The arrest reports list Ms. Reed as 5'4", 170 lbs and listing her religion as Muslim. Among her scars, marks and tattoos is a tattoo of the Devil.
The 17-year old Robinson was listed as 5'1" and 112 lbs, and listing no religion.
"2 girl special... there is only ONE....Platinum!!!" read the ad on Criagslist. The ad listed an "updated" telephone number and said the location was "arsenal."

Myrtle Beach police arrest fashion designer in alleged Craigslist-related sex assault case

Myrtle Beach—The Myrtle Beach Police Department arrested Irving Lebowitz and charged him with assault with the intent to commit criminal sexual conduct.
The arrest was in connection with an incident that police say happened on January 19.
Police say they received several reports of women between the ages of 18 and 21 years old, being assaulted at Sora’s Boutique, located at 312 North Kings Highway. They say Lebowitz is the owner of Sora’s Boutique.
The women were responding to modeling jobs advertised in Craig’s List, according to police.
Police say this is an on-going investigation. Anyone with any information please contact Investigator Dianne Pieterse at 843-918-1913.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Three Atlanta women and a teenager face charges after being busted in an undercover prostitution sting in Columbus.
Police say the women were using the online classified website Craigslist to find clients.
26-year-old Tammy Baughman, 20 year old Brittnay Davis, and 20 year old Cassandra Geotcha are all charged with prostitution, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes because according to police, they had a 15-year-old runaway working with them. They pled not guilty to those charges in Recorder's Court today.
Members of the Columbus Police Department's Special Operations Unit say they found Baughman's picture and phone number on Craigslist and when an undercover cop called her, she agreed to meet him at the Days Inn on Macon Road Saturday.
When the officer got to the hotel room, he says there were 3 other girls there along with Baughman. He testified the conversation quickly turned sexual after Baughman searched for a wire on him and she offered him two girls for the price $200 dollars, promising oral sex and straight sex. He agreed and once cash was exchanged, other officers burst into the room and put the women in custody.
At first, police say the teen involved told them she was 21 but authorities quickly learned she had given them false information. In an interview with police, officers say she admitted that she has been prostituting herself and that the other women knew her true identity. Officers told the judge they also found explicit photos of the teen on a laptop they found in the hotel room.
Cassandra Geotcha plead guilty to drug charges. Officers say they found marijuana and an ecstasy tablet in the hotel room.
Tammy Baughman also faces a pimping charge. She was arrested by Columbus Police back in October of 2009 in a similar operation at a North Columbus hotel after police say she used Craigslist to solicit oral sex.
A judge set bond for the women on each of the charges. Their cases have been bound over to Muscogee County Superior Court.
