I'll take UNC +40 vs. Oklahoma City for the max.

Football is very different as the talent is spread much more thin. NC may put a majority of their starting lineup in the NBA. No CFB team puts close to a majority of starters in the NFL.

That said, UNC almost certainly would not win. But I don't think they'd lose by 40 to OKC.

We at least agree on the NFL argument.

Let's look at the NBA. I do agree it would be tough to lose by 40, but it would not be close.

Do you believe that Lawson, Ellington, Green and Hansborough will be starting in the NBA next year?

This question should not even be asked...

OKC and Minny would be 15 point favorites over UNC and would handle them with ease...totally different game

as for them going undefeated it IS NOT going to happen...season is too long and with injuries and what not there is no way they go 35+-0...they will slip at some point and run into a team who is playing the games of their lives and UNC is playing an average game...teams that I think will beat them could and most likely be Wake , Duke and maybe at Miami. And come March you cannot just outscore teams...this is what they are doing now. They will eventually run into a team that will outscore them...

If they played for the Thunder or Wizards, they might be.

I don't think this Carolina team could land the space shuttle in the rain either. Straw dog logic. Who cares. Relax. The season just started. How about giving UNC a chance to play a few more games before you stone 'em into NCAA history.

An NBA team would absolutely destroy UNC. Every single NBA player was the best player on his team in College. People ask this about CFB all the time and the answer is the same. They would lose by at least 40

Remember that USC team 2005 that would beat a pro team, couldn't beat a qb who can't start over 98 year old Kerry Collins.

How is Dwayne Jarrent doing in the pros.

I heard the AZ Cards qb is going to the Pro Bowl, wait that is Kurt Warner.

These questions are so stupid. No college team would EVER be able to compete with, let alone beat, a professional team. Period.

Or, in the case of the Thunder, the best player on a Jr High School level team in Africa.

Consider yourself lucky, you don't have to watch that product.

Mark my words within 10 years, OKC, unless the team turns it around will be in trouble. Similiar to Charlotte's franchise (again).

Oh, I know they will be in trouble soon. It is a "new" thing this year, which is why season tickets sold so quickly. Give them a few seasons of sub-20 win seasons, and they will be hurting big time.

This gives me the biggest grin whenever I look at it, as it does for many in the Seattle area:

Gaylord Entertainment Co. (GET) At 4:01PM ET: 7.11 2.08 DOWN (22.63%) July Price $35.00
SandRidge Energy, Inc. (SD) At 4:04PM ET: 7.54 1.32 DOWN (14.90%) July Price $69.41
Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) At 4:06PM ET: 15.00 2.18 DOWN (12.69%) July Price $74.00

Clay Bennett’s family owns GET. Clay is the fourth-largest shareholder in Chesapeake and the fourth- or fifth-largest in SandRidge. Aubrey McLendon WAS the largest investor in CHK. He sold 31M shares and reportedly still owes $100M in margin calls. Tom Ward is the president and largest shareholder of SD and also the second-largest (before McClendon sold) holder of CHK.

Cut you a break, IMO, you live in one of the best parts of the country. Friendly people, beautiful area, UW one of the best campuses in the country.

Yes, it is a great place to live.

Now if you are a big sports fan..it has sucked this year. Very depressing stuff.

Also, you don't want to be here from about November through March or so. The constant drizzle and cloudiness will get you down big time. So much so, that a professor from the UW found a clinical form of depression and anti-social behavior for those living in the area, called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

The rest of the year it can't be beat by very many places in the U.S.

Yeah..Hansborough would do pretty well against NBA big men..

was this a serious comment...i hope not! He will give good energy in the NBA for about 15-20 minutes a night and he will get beasted on by "big men" who are faster, longer, and more talented than he is. sorry but not a chance UNC is within 10 pts of an NBA team

I was wondering the same thing.

Mark Madsen, less size but more offensive talent.
