I think human nature puts them in a position to make a call like this as they consciously on unconsciously want to have an effect on the game ... ie for the focus to be on them.... they are important... it's a natural enough desire and in the heat of the moment it comes out sometimes....

Its because he really didnt slam it.if you watch the replay he grabbed it acted like he was going to then his team mates were smacking him on the back and the ball dropped.. It never even went up in the air over a few feet after it fell out... Very bad call.. Ref was behind him couldnt really see

i been playing ball since i was 7, and in 99 times out 100 instances, u slam the ball down, u get a t...look at his teammates response, those dudes knew he was getting t upped....just an 18 year old kid doing an incredibly stupid thing
