Please hammer that line.....I like the "The Polish Experiment" in this one. Great takedowns & top game and even though Vera is a BJJ brown belt he's never shown any jits in MMA. I know it was his first weight cut but he struggled against the two real ground opponents he had in Reese Andy & before that at HW against Werdum.
Vera is overhyped & really hasn't beat anyone...his big time win was against Frank Mir when he was a giant piece of dog crap. Other than that it's all mid to low tier guys (Assuerio Silva, Eilers, Scherner) & he lost to Werdum & Sylvia.
Vera still hasn't shown he has a gas tank after he makes that cut either & it will be worse with Krystof riding his ass for 3 rounds
Vera dominated Andy and won every round. I don't see how he struggled really.
Also, Vera might only be a brown belt but he won at Pan-Am and has won Grapplers Quest 8 different times. He's excellent on the ground.
The only people Vera lost to have been Tim Sylvia who had a huge size advantage, Keith Jardine in a fight that could have gone either way, and Werdum and that crap stoppage.
Vera has legit ground skills and is a Muay Thai champion as well. I think he's for real.
