Don't overestimate them. PSV likes to position themselves in an underdog position for european games. They were the underdog in all 3 CL-matches so far and the dutch media didn't have high expectations. Everyone expects PSV to win big tonight and some media guy already said that PSV has a chance at winning the Champion's League this season. They are now in a position where everyone expects them to win a Champion's League match. A draw could be enough for PSV to advance to next round if Liverpool wins or draws against Bordeaux.

PSV have a great home record but keep in mind that the dutch league has alot of very weak teams and PSV usually wins it's home matches with relative ease.

Believe me, I have some concern about PSV settling for the tie as that is what it would take to guarantee going on to the next round. However, PSV is not the underdog here today. I believe Gala is on the level of the weak Dutch teams that PSV has faced so they should not have any trouble getting a good lead.

Galatasaray has a decent team. They could have easily won in Turkey. They played very good in the first 30 minutes but kinda lost their head. PSV got a lucky win there and a draw would have been more likely.

Hasan Sas is also available for this match and he is a difference-maker for the Turks. None of teams that PSV face in the domestic league have a player of his quality.

I want PSV to win, I support them and visited about 200+ matches of them, but alot of people back PSV and assume that they are on the same level as Barcelona and Werder Bremen, well they aren't. Their entire game is based upon getting the result and winning by 1 goal is enough. I haven't seen them score more then 2 times in a Champion's League match since may 2005 (semi-final: PSV - Milan 3-1, prem. matches not included).

Remember week 2? Galatasaray almost got back in the game with a late offensive. Liverpool was leading comfortably back but the turks fought back to 3-2.

I never bet on a PSV game, I am already nervous for these games and I wouldn't survive if I had money on them. My pick would be Gala +1 AH @+117 (2.17).

Feel free to bet on PSV, they have the better chance of winning tonight. I truly hope that you are right when the game is over, that would mean qualification for the next round :103631605

Thanks for the insight Seahawks.

Perhaps I am equating their dominance in the league at home with the dominance that Colo Colo has in the Sudamericana Cup and are hoping they continue their dominance at home.

Good luck.

Spartak Moscow are playing very well. Inter defending too deep. Spartak just hit the crossbar with an absolutely amazing shot from about 35 yards out. It's been a good match.

Sticking with Roma -1 170 (3.5 units)
Revising Sporting play: Sporting +1 +110 (2 units)

Adding: I found this and I like it:
Barca / Cheals ov 2 -120 (2 units)

Cheers

I got it wrong this time. PSV win 2-0. Good thing that I didn't break my rule to bet on PSV games :D.

WE ARE IN NEXT ROUND :dancefool :dancefool

I hope that you still made some money on the game.

Sporting +1 & +1.5 -130 looks great.

a) Portugese teams are always better when there the underdog and have little expections going into a contest.

b) Bayern won 1-0 in Lisboa a couple of weeks ago who now have 9 points thru 3 games, it's now time for them to ease up a bit. Mentally they know that there looking good so even if they say the right things going into the game it isn't like they need the win a tie would do just fine where as this game means more to Sporting who want to stay ahead of Inter.

I can't see Bayern winning by 2 goals, sure it could happen but i'd side heavily with Sporting keeping it a close game so this is going to be a nice size bet for me personally.

Good Job Boys
