It's a trap because it's an enticing line that gets the public to bet on it. You don't think it's odd that the #1 team in the country, who hasn't lost a single game on the road all season, only has to outscore Pitt by one point in the 2h when they're already down 10? I'm sure a ton of people saw that line and said "Wow! UCONN -1 is too easy!" Well, when it looks too easy, it usually isn't.
Vegas sets trap lines all the time. Look at the unranked fave over the ranked dog angle over the last few years. The public eats those lines up, and they usually lose when they do.
I'm not saying Pitt is for sure going to cover. UCONN may very well cover the 2h number. I'm just saying that line stinks to high heaven. Vegas CLEARLY wants money on UCONN with that line.
