Sundevil: I strongly suggest that you wait until your program is elite again before you start mouthing off. A 25 point loss as home is hardly a step towards being elite, nor is being swept by USC last year.
As far as your 4-1 confernece record is concerned, correct me if I'm mistaken, but weren't you 4 and 0 in football? I doubt if the basketball results will be much better than the football team's was. But in any case after a 25 point loss please don't start talking about the elite program which Ben is building, and please don't compare Ben Howland to Pete Carroll.

Again, I will say that when you get any semblance of a basketball program then we can talk.
Time will most certainly prove you wrong about our program returning to elite status, but I understand why you might feel that way. If someone had told me during the Smith/Robinson/Hackett era that you would return to #1 status while our program turned into a total embarassment I would never have believed them. I'm just surprised that you can't see the similarities: both programs ripe to be the jewel of the nation and (most importantly) Lavin = Hackett = the antichrist.

Unfortunately we have this roadblock to us having a good anything program right now called Barbara the Bitch. She will make sure we keep hiring mediocre coaches in all sports, guys that are over their heads like Romar and Gilbertson. She is just happy and thinks she is doing her job because the football team rakes in money, winning is not really a priority. She showed her true colors when she fired Ricky as quick as possible, she realized that she had a way out of paying a real coach a real salary. This year after a totally unacceptable team effort she praised Gilbertson. WTF? We got blown out half our games and she accepts it because "Gilby faced a difficult situation". You, Ms. Hedges are the difficult situation. Sorry...I always get off on this and I have done as best as I can. I stopped giving to the anything but the accounting department until they get rid of her. I just won't accept her LA Clippers attitude of putting out a poor product to make money. I used to give quite a bit and damn I don't even make it up for a game every year. I guess I am the sucker. For now you guys get the joy of being better than us, all we can do is root on our former greats in the NFL. Some lousy team needs to draft Reggie and Cody together

I nearly forgot that whole retarded NCAA pool saga. I loved the whole issue of the media trying to distinguish "serious gambling" from "harmless fun" by defining some dollar threshold without making it relative to the "gambler's" bankroll. What Neuheisel put into that pool for him is probably the equivalent of a $5 pool to you or me. Either pools are acceptable or they're not Miss A.D. - the size cannot be a determing factor in any rational universe.

She was just kissing the NCAA's ass, that was all. She couldn't jump fast enough. I hope Ricky sues and wins a fortune from them. Not like the athletic department is going to do anything good with the money anyhow. Notice Babs tried to make it seem like she runs a clean ship and yet didn't fire the woman who sent out the email saying that it was ok to be in a pool. That should tell you all you need to know about her.
