Is he a Marine? I'll be right by Kaneohe bay in Kailua. Lot of Marines in that area. I know i talk shit (As well as certain others in here) but my hat's off to those guys.They are the real tough guys.

I was never in the military or grew up around it (Raised in Nyc)but went to college in the early 90's in Hawaii and when we went out on the weekends there was always alot of military in the bars. Those guys would get drunk and always fight each other for some reason, Marines against Army etc..(I don't know if there is still anonymousity between the Marines, Navy etc...). The guys would really lay ass whippings on each other.Tough mf'ers for sure

it was always my experience that it was civilans vs soldiers. i'm not sure how the marines operate, but for the most part army guys stick together. could be some dirtbag private in a club talking shit, but if someone fucked with him we had his back and kicked his ass ourselves. nothing worse than answering to the 1SG on monday morning when someone got fucked up and his buddies weren't there to take care of him. it was all about keeping things "in house".

worst thing i ever saw was civilians contracted on post who fucked around with the wives of deployed soldiers for 12 months and then tried to pull a houdini when everyone came back. ugly stuff.
