1) You don't know they built Tulane on plantation land to remind everyone we have evolved. You just don't know that. Typically what happens with Universities or government buildings, they buy property that is cheap or the land is donated by a rich donor. You really think when they were building Tulane U they were thinking "Let's build this bastard to show everyone we have evolved." That's laughable and you don't know it to be remotely true.
2) You said in post #12 this bell was used to signify it was time to work. You don't know that to be true.
