Maybe, maybe not. Too early to call that. I will say that history is not on their side as it very hard to repeat. And of course Wings D has been suspect quite a few times (like tonight) so far this year.

True but being hungry has much to do with winning a championship. Pens wanted this game more and it showed. They never gave up when most teams would have packed it in. Detroit should have won this game going away.

IMO Hossa is the only Red Wing that plays every shift like he wants to win a cup.

Last year Detroit was routinely blowing teams out. In 14 games this year they have won just 2 by more than a goal. Both by 2 goals.

Osgood is a liabilty

He's been a liability since the day he got here and waived him but, he's also won them 2 cups. I look for Conklin to start getting more starts. This team is way too deep and experienced to write them off this early.

I was kicking myself for not taking Detroit's team total in the first period. I'm missing all the obvious bets and investing on coin flips, (most that I've been on the wrong side of).

I knew they've been gold on those team totals and have taken a few but ddin't realize they've scored 2 or more 12 straight in the 2nd period. What have you been laying on these bets?

wings 2nd period bet: actually nothing. i just did the backtracking for all periods. i took the first period tonight as the wings went 3 without a 2 goal total. also had wings over 3.
got shark before o t. scary, it's reminding me of the panther/ducks game. ellis seems to be hot and sharks no luck on power play.

Whats up guys,

Had an itch to stop in and say hello. See alot of new names in the hockey forum. Thats a great thing. Still relishing in the Phillies wake here in Philly, and just now starting to tune into what is going on in the hockey world. Certainly not the Flyers, thats for sure, although they did pick up the win today!!

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone and hope the season deems profitable for all rxers!!

wings team total set at 2.5 goals. 4 wins...1 loss.5 games, all on the road. only 1 they didnt cover was in san jose. i believe they were in a 4 in 6 with back to back.
