Jim Feist's Bonus Play for Tuesday, Sept. 8 7:05 PM EST

(967) BALTIMORE ORIOLES VS (968) NEW YORK YANKEES

Take: (967) BALTIMORE ORIOLES

Reason: Your Bonus Play for Tuesday, September 8, 2015 is in the MLB contest between the Baltimore Orioles and the New York Yankees in the Bronx at Yankee stadium. This is a small park, great for hitters, and a Baltimore offense is in town that is 9th in baseball in runs scored, sixth in slugging. Baltimore has a strong bullpen, which is needed in small parks like this with great offenses going. The last four years starter Kevin Gausman is 3-2 against the Yankees with a 2.78 ERA in 33 innings. Masahiro Tanaka has been knocked around the last three starts, allowing 18 hits in 18 innings and 11 runs. That included a 13-8 win over Boston and a 7-3 loss to Cleveland. He has a 4.14 ERA at home where he's allowed 15 of his 21 homers and New York is 1-2 his last three home starts. Play the Baltimore Orioles.

Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals

Mike's *Best of the Rest* Tuesday

8* Bonus Play: MIN@KC Over

The Minnesota Twins handed division-rivals the Kansas City Royals a fourth consecutive loss Monday when they won 6-2 in the opener of a three-game set at Kauffman Stadium. I expect at least as many runs to be scored in tonight's game. Edinson Volquez will take the ball for the Royals coming off a disappointing display when he conceded six runs on eight hits through just three innings against Detroit. The Royals still won the game 15-7 though and they're likely to give Volquez plenty of run support tonight as well when facing Kyle Gibson on the mound. Gibson has conceded a total of eight runs on 10 hits and seven walks through 10 2/3 innings in his last two road starts combined. He has a 4.90 ERA over 12 away starts on the season. Mike Moustakas is 6-for-18 with a pair of doubles in previous meetings with Gibson and off a 2-for-4 performance Monday.

Note that:
- Minnesota's Eduardo Escobar was a perfect 3-for-3 with a walk in last night's opener and he's batting .394 with five homers, nine doubles and 14 RBI through 66 at bats over his last 18 games.
- Kansas City's relievers have allowed 11 runs through 15 innings of work over its last four games.
- The over is 4-1-2 in Minnesota's last seven road games with the total set at 7.0-8.5.
- The over is 6-1-2 in Kansas City's last nine home games and 5-2 in Volquez's last seven home starts.
