FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD. THREE YEAR OLDS, 122 LBS.; OLDER, 124 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

The Walker Group Picks

# 4 CLEMENS BROOK 3/1

# 6 SOCIETY GIRL 7/5

# 3 I'M SHOOTIN HIGH 4/1

CLEMENS BROOK looks to be a very strong contender. The average class figure of 81 makes this one difficult to beat. With a sound 81 average speed fig at the distance, seems well suited for today's race. Overall the speed figs of this pony look very good in this competition. SOCIETY GIRL - She has been racing quite well recently while recording solid speed figures. This mare looks good in this race since Fergason has a sharp win percentage with horses going this distance. I'M SHOOTIN HIGH - Put up a solid Equibase Speed Figure in the most recent race. Can run another good one in this affair. Her 71 average has this mare with among the top Equibase Speed Figures in this race.

Parx Racing - Race #1 - Post: 12:25pm - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $23,000 Class Rating: 86

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#8 BUCKLEBERRY GREY (ML=8/1)

BUCKLEBERRY GREY - Took a significant drop in class rating last time out at Parx Racing. Returning to a similar class level in this event. Should perform well right here. Adding blinkers occasionally leads to a better race on the racetrack.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 HIS FREEDOM REIGNS (ML=5/2), #6 SUNSHINE MARK (ML=3/1), #5 NEILOS (ML=4/1),

HIS FREEDOM REIGNS - Nice race on October 29th at Penn National, but the fact that there are no workouts since has to make one a little worried. Didn't show much run last time out of the box. Probably won't make a winning move in today's event. The fig last out doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's event. Mark this horse as a likely underpriced contender. SUNSHINE MARK - This entrant ran a most unsatisfactory speed figure in the last race. He shouldn't run better and will probably get beat today running that figure. NEILOS - I have some doubts when a entrant has front wraps added in the last event. Not likely for this participant to make a winning move with no recent success in a sprint race. Registered a disappointing speed figure in the last race in a $7,500 Claiming race on Sep 6th. Unlikely to see an improved performance off of that fig.

Zia Park - Race #8 - Post: 3:17pm - Maiden Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $9,500 Class Rating: 55

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#5 U OWE ME LOOT (ML=8/1)
#7 J D'S VOW (ML=6/1)

U OWE ME LOOT - I expect this horse to surprise some prognosticators this time. J D'S VOW - Maiden is switching over to the dirt, and may not have liked the turf last out. Has a good chance to be a first time winner.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 TWISTED (ML=5/2), #10 GRANDFIELD ROAD (ML=7/2), #8 STUNNER (ML=4/1),

TWISTED - Can't bet on this steed in today's sprint of 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't even hit the board in a short distance contest recently. GRANDFIELD ROAD - The speed figure in the last race doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the class figure of today's race. Mark this horse as a questionable challenger. STUNNER - Tough to support any horse that runs as well as she did and then lays up and doesn't workout at all. When looking at today's class rating, she will have to earn a much better speed rating than in the last race to vie in this dirt sprint.

STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Play #5 U OWE ME LOOT to win if you can get odds of 2/1 or more

DRF HARNESS

MEET STATS: 359 - 1072 / $1,984.50 BEST BETS: 53 - 86 / $185.50

Best Bet: HARDTS OR BETTOR (6th)

Spot Play: BIG PAYOUT (11th)

Race 1

(2) CLOONEY DRUMMOND has regained good form beating up on lesser and he has a post edge on his main rivals. (6) JC KINGDOM should appreciate the drop to the basement claiming level. (3) HELLO HOT SHOT flashed speed last out; rates highly with these.

Race 2

(2) CHEYENNE CAM gets post relief off a good effort and the veteran appears overdue. (4) JUNGLE OF TERROR scored last out upon plunging to this level and he can certainly repeat. (5) BACK TO THE WEST gets Bartlett back in the bike and he's driven this gelding to his last two wins.

Race 3

(1) VILLE VALO cruised upon arrival from Canada and clearly can repeat. (2) POOL HALL ships from Monti off a quick blowout score. (3) JET PASSING gets some post relief in his second start for Banca.

Race 4

(1) MAURICE closed crisply once shaking free last out in a good bounce-back effort and he can trip out from this spot. (6) IWILLMAKEYOUSAYWOW is a threat to go all the way with Buter. (2) ELWELL debuts for the Laterza barn showing good current form.

Race 5

(1) BORIS has been very sharp in his last few, including an upset win two back. He can trip out from this spot. (2) SPORTS BETTOR gets post relief and is an obvious player. (7) PAN STREET USA has been sharp out of town for his new barn.

Race 6

(2) HARDTS OR BETTOR has predictably been a new horse since being claimed by Banca; takes another. (1) REGAL SIGHT has been razor sharp at Saratoga and he can continue his good form upon arrival. (4) PAPARAZZI HANOVER was used hard last out and weakened; prior effort was good.

Race 7

(7) SUMMER SCENT ships in debuting for the Sabot barn with decent speed and form; Sears' choice. (1) MY FRIEND JIM was a good winner three back; needs to regain that form. (12) EASTON ROAD also goes for new connections and seems to be a decent fit with these; Bartlett drives.

Race 8

(5) MASSIVE LIGHTNING has taken two straight in solid fashion and looms large again with the right trip. (4) COIN COLLECTOR fits here and has clear ability if she minds her manners. (1) NORTHERN OBSESSION tired on the front end last week; she looks better suited to stalk which is what she may be doing from this spot.

Race 9

(6) TSWALU loses Brennan today but he's had some decent local efforts and the Robertson barn has been good the last few days; worth a look in this tough to figure event. (5) STIRLING DEBUTANT qualified nicely with the hobbles added. (3) BUNDLE ME UP has some speed and is well-mannered.

Race 10

(8) LIFE DREAM HANOVER ships in for Allard and has been racing well prior to last week's break; mare appears to have the speed to overcome the outside post. (7) FOUR STARZ CREDIT beat lesser last out and has had a nice season. (5) ORANGE BIGI fits well here but appears the camera-shy type.

Race 11

(3) BIG PAYOUT has raced well in his last two, including a win at this level and this distance. (1) ASHLAKE has hinted at ability and will be a factor with a smooth trip. (5) WILD SMILE drops in class and should be on the move early.

Race 12

(6) SECRET THREAT has looked super in his last three and deserves top billing despite the less-than-ideal post. (3) CAVIART LUCA held okay after a long trip versus a tough winner last week. (4) AMERICANPRIMETIME was overmatched in stakes action out of town; he's raced well here in the past.

Tuesday's six-pack

-- Georgia Tech 69, Tennessee 67-- Much-needed win for coach Gregory.

-- George Washington 73, Virginia 68-- This is why the big-money schools don't go on the road much out of conference.

-- Utah 81, San Diego State 76-- High-level game; two NCAA tourney teams.

-- LIU 71, Loyola Md 68-- Tremendous finish for the NEC's Blackbirds.

-- Southern 76, Mississippi State 72-- Good win for SWAC's power rating.

-- Texans 10, Bengals 6-- Houston is actually tied for first place in AFC South.

Bonus Play Tuesday

DEVILS at FLAMES 9:05 PM

Take: DEVILS +100

The New Jersey Devils were pretty much an afterthought when it came to most pre-season predictions. But the Devils would be a playoff team if the post-season were to start today, and I’m not so sure this is a fluke.

The Calgary Flames were supposed to be awful last season, but instead were probably the biggest surprise of the entire season. The Flames played the entire campaign with a serious chip on their shoulder and ended up overachieving by a pretty substantial margin.

Unfortunately, reality seems to have set in this season for the Flames. They aren’t sneaking up on anyone this time around, and perhaps a little satisfaction set in following what they accomplished last year. Calgary is struggling in a big way, and it’s not like they’ve been unlucky. They’ve just been lousy.

I made New Jersey the favorite tonight. Cory Schneider is playing well in goal and the Devils are well rested as they open a road trip following a 4-0 shutout win over the Penguins. Calgary has the worst goal differential in the league by a fairly wide margin and Karri Ramo has been more liability than asset in goal. The Flames should be happy to be back home after a 1-3 road trip where they were mostly outplayed, but playing the hosts hasn’t done the Flames much good. They did manage to win their two most recent home games prior to the just completed journey, but I’m not giving that much weight.

This one is simple enough for me. I don’t especially want to lay anything with New Jersey, but with the Devils currently at even money, I’m satisfied enough with the price to be on the Devils tonight.

(709) CHARLOTTE HORNETS VS (710) NEW YORK KNICKS

Take: (709) CHARLOTTE HORNETS

Reason: Your Bonus Play for Tuesday, November 17, 2015 is in the NBA scheduled contest between the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks. The Hornets enter tonight's contest with two days rest and a 5-5 S/U & ATS record. Charlotte had won three straight before getting drubbed by Phoenix last game, 105-81. The Knicks enter tonight's contest at 5-6 S/U and 6-4-1 ATS. The offense hasn't been too good, scoring under 100 in seven of their last eight. However, the Knicks to have one of the better benches right now with an average of over 40 ppg. The Hornets have done well in New York, covering six of their last seven visits. The road team has also done well in this matchup, covering the last five games. This is the second meeting between these clubs, with the Hornets taking last week's contest, 95-93 in Charlotte. The Hornets have won four straight against the Knicks and I look for them to make that five here on Tuesday. Take Charlotte.

Texas-San Antonio vs Creighton

Bonus Play Creighton

I'm recommending a play on the Creighton Blue Jays on Tuesday night. Last year's slide down the Big East standings was expected for Creighton. After all, the Jays lost all-everything Doug McDermott from the previous season, along with Grant Gibbs, Ethan Wragge, and Jahenns Manigat. That was a lot of arsenal and know-how, and those in Omaha and around the Big East knew the Jays were in for a long season. They aren't ready to challenge the top teams in the conference just yet, but they're better than last year's squad, despite losing all but one starter. Creighton thumped Texas Southern in their opener and will now face winless Texas-San Antonio (0-2). The Roadrunners have their own players to replace, three starters to be exact. UTSA lost by 12 to Loyola-Chicago and by 33 points to Clemson. After playing in Chicago and Greenville, SC, the Roadrunners are back on the road in Omaha, playing their third road game since Friday. The team doesn't have the depth and they're struggling hanging onto the basketball, committing 36 turnovers with just 15 assists through two games. UTSA also has issues inside, out-rebounded 73-48 thus far. And while the Roadrunners are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games, the Jays are on a 7-0-1 ATS run going back to last season. The Jays take care of business. I'm recommending a play on Creighton minus the points on Tuesday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

Bucks vs Wizards

8* NBA Free Pick Washington Wizards -4

The Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal is still considered day-to-day with a shoulder injury, but the Wizards have a history of coping well even without their star guard. They're off a 108-99 win against Orlando Saturday as the team shot an impressive 41.4% from 3-point range, with power forward Kris Humphries making five of his eight attempts. They're 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on two days rest and will host a Milwaukee Brewers team that picked up a win Saturday as well when they defeated the Cavs 108-105 in overtime. They're just 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on two days rest though and they're 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings with the Wizards.
