The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Pacers, Sixers Clash In Philly
By: Barry Daniels

Indiana Pacers at Philadelphia 76ers (-4.5, 194)

Bettors who enjoy wagering on pro basketball totals have probably circled Tuesday’s contest between the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers on their calendar as a possible play. The ‘under’ has cashed in each of the last 10 series meetings, including the first two this season.

The ‘under’ trend is not being ignored by Sports Club owner Pete Korner, who makes the betting line for the majority of Nevada sports books. Korner opened the total at 193 points, which is 15 points lower than the first series meeting and 10 ½ points lower than the most recent matchup.

He has opened the Sixers as 3 ½-point home favorites for the 4 p.m. PT tip at Wells Fargo Center.

The first meeting between these Eastern Conference squads occurred on Oct. 30, with the Pacers registering a 99-86 victory as 5 ½-point home favorites. The combined 187 points dipped well below the 208 ½-point closing total.

The rematch four days later saw the Sixers get revenge during a 101-75 blasting of the Pacers as 2 ½-point home underdogs. The combined 176 points once again never seriously threatened the 203 ½-point closing total.

Indiana is now 8-3-1 ATS in the last 11 series meetings against Philly, with the ‘under’ going 22-7 in the last 29 matchups.

The Pacers are off Saturday’s 108-93 setback at Atlanta as seven-point road underdogs. The loss was Indiana’s sixth in its last seven games, including the last three in a row. The non-cover left the Pacers 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine road encounters.

The combined 201 points climbed ‘over’ the 191 ½-point closing total, ending the Pacers’ string of eight straight ‘under’ games. Nevertheless, the ‘under’ is 11-5 in the Pacers’ first 16 road dates and 24-10 in their first 34 overall outings.

Indiana has not amassed more than 95 points in any of its last nine games, solidifying the club’s position as the league’s 21st poorest offense at 96.4 points per game. The Pacers are shooting an anemic 43.2 percent from the field, which ranks 28th.

Though the Pacers rank third in defensive field goal percentage at 43.3 percent, they are yielding an average of 97.6 PPG, which ranks 14th.

Danny Granger continues to lead the Pacers offensively from his forward position by averaging 20.8 PPG. Darren Collison is dishing out a team-leading 4.3 assists per game, while Roy Hibbert leads the squad with 8.7 rebounds per contest.

Philadelphia had its two-game winning streak snapped during Saturday’s 112-109 overtime loss at Detroit as 1 ½-point underdogs. The setback lowered the Sixers’ record to 15-22 SU. Though the Sixers barely failed to cover the closing number, they are still a nifty 24-12-1 ATS in their first 37 overall outings.

The combined 221 points soared above the 193-point closing total, leaving the ‘over’ 6-1 in the Sixers’ last seven games. However, the ‘under’ is still 20-17 overall.

Since starting the season with a dismal 3-13 ledger, the 76ers have gone 12-9 thanks to some fine play on their home court. Doug Collins’ troops have captured nine of their last 11 home dates and have gone a sizzling 10-1 ATS during that span.

Philadelphia is outscoring the opposition at home by an average of almost seven points per game (99.1 to 92.3). That is in stark contrast to the club’s overall scoring margin of minus-one (96.9 to 97.4).

Saturday’s loss at Detroit was particularly hard to swallow because Lou Williams missed two free throws with 6.2 seconds remaining in regulation that would have put the game out of reach.

Instead, Detroit reserve forward Austin Day hit a fall-away three-point shot at the buzzer that sent the game into overtime.

Philadelphia’s Andre Iguodala, who has been sidelined for the past seven games with bilateral Achilles tendinitis, was scheduled to return to the court for Monday's practice.

However, the team has not released an official confirmation of Iguodala’s return and he is listed as “doubtful” on the Don Best Sports injury report. The swingman was averaging 14.2 points and 6.1 rebounds through 25 games.

The Sixers rank 20th in the league offensively with a 96.9 PPG average and 13th defensively by allowing 97.4 PPG.

Philadelphia continues its three-game homestand Friday by hosting the Milwaukee Bucks. Indiana plays the second half of a back-to-back situation with a Wednesday home game against the Dallas Mavs.

PICK 'N' ROLL

Tuesday's Best NBA Bets

New York Knicks at Portland Trail Blazers (-3, 202.5)

The revamped Knicks will be playing their third game of a four-game West Coast swing, having defeated Phoenix and getting beat by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Amar’e Stoudemire continues to pile in the points, but he shot just 7-for-24 in the loss to Los Angeles, as the trio of Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom forced him into many difficult shots.

Stoudemire will be in tough again with Portland, as Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge is having the breakout season everyone was waiting for. Aldridge has had at least 25 points and 10 rebounds in five straight games and is leading a Portland team without star Brandon Roy.

Aldridge and veteran Marcus Camby make Portland one of the NBA’s strongest rebounding teams, a category New York routinely gets outmatched in. The Blazers are tough to beat at the Rose Garden and their frontcourt depth should keep the Knicks from getting into their run-and-gun offense.

PICK: Portland Trailblazers

Indiana Pacers at Philadelphia 76ers (-4.5, 194)

The Indiana Pacers have some promising young talent in Danny Granger, Roy Hibbert and Darren Collison, but right now scoring is not the team’s strong suit. The Pacers are 21st in the league in scoring, 28th in field goal percentage and struggles on the road.

The one thing the Pacers do right, however, is get offensive rebounds. All the extra second-chance points are what keep Indiana competitive and facing the 76ers should help.

Philadelphia is one of the league’s stronger defensive teams, but they are just 23rd in defensive rebounding, so a lot of their defensive efforts could be for naught.

As Philadelphia also struggles offensively, the contest could be decided by the fact that Danny Granger is the most reliable go-to player in the game and Indiana will get the most easy (and multiple) chances.

PICK: Indiana Pacers

Preview: Michigan State vs. Wisconsin
By Big Ten Network

No. 21 Wisconsin at No. 24 Michigan State (-3.5, 122)

You won't want to miss the game between the No. 24 Michigan State Spartans and the No. 21 Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 CT. Check out the game on ESPN.

In its last game, Michigan State dropped a close contest to Penn State, falling 66-62. Durrell Summers was the star player for Michigan State (10-5) scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Michigan State is good at both ends of the court. On the defensive end, the Spartans don't allow many open looks, as they bottle up the paint with opponents shooting 40.7 percent on two-pointers. Draymond Green is a player to watch on Michigan State. He is averaging 11.7 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game this season.

In its last game, Wisconsin topped Michigan 66-50. Jordan Taylor was the star player for Wisconsin (12-3) scoring 20 points.

Wisconsin is steady on offense and defense. Offensively, the Badgers don't squander many possessions as they give the ball away just 8.1 times per game. Defending the basket, Wisconsin crashes the defensive boards hard and prevents opponents from getting to the free throw line. Be sure to watch Jon Leuer. He is averaging 19.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game this season for the Badgers.

Whether or not the Spartans can get to the offensive glass with regularity will impact the game. Wisconsin does not give opponents many second chances on offense, but Michigan State manages to turn 36.6 percent of its misses into new possessions.

Tuesday's Best NCAAB Bets

No. 21 Wisconsin Badgers at No. 24 Michigan State Spartans (-3.5, 122)

This classic Big Ten battle will see one of the nation’s stingiest defenses face a team that was ranked as high as No. 2 this year.

Tom Izzo’s Spartans have been somewhat of a disappointment this season, starting the year as the second-ranked team in the nation but getting out to a pedestrian 10-5 record.

The Spartans uncharacteristically struggle as a defensive team, ranking 133rd in the nation in points allowed per game. Michigan State has shifted to more of an offensive club, ranking as one of the better 3-point shooting clubs and strong on the offensive glass.

They will need to be at their best as they face a physical Wisconsin squad that is fifth in the nation in allowing 55.2 points per game.

The Badgers are led by Jon Leuer, one of the nation’s top players, and his 19.3 point per game average, but other than that Wisconsin struggles to score.

Jordan Taylor chips in with 16.4 points per contest, but no other player averages in double figures. The Badgers are one of the lowest-scoring teams in the nation and are abysmal in grabbing offensive rebounds.

This game should be another typical conference tilt; a hard-nosed battle where points are at a premium.

PICK: Under

Rutgers Scarlet Knights at No. 9 Connecticut Huskies (-12,)

Rutgers has been a pleasant surprise so far this season, jumping out to a 10-5 record after four straight losing seasons.

The Scarlet Knights, competing in the juggernaut Big East, lost to Villanova and Marquette, but recorded a big victory over Providence on Saturday.

Rutgers has problems on the offensive end, but makes its living on defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 38.6 percent from the field. In their win over Providence, the Scarlet Knights allowed Friars leading scorer Marshon Brooks to get 29 points, but they held the rest of the team to just 25.5 percent shooting.
Look for them to do the same to Connecticut star Kemba Walker.

Walker is the nation’s leading scorer at 25.8 points per game. He scored 22 points in Saturday’s overtime loss to Texas, but he was just 8-of-27 shooting from the floor.

UConn has struggled all season to provide secondary scoring for Walker, which results in the junior taking too many ill-advised shots. Rutgers will look to continue that trend, allowing Walker to get his but shutting down the rest of the team.

While the Scarlet Knights’ turnaround season is a nice story and they have the gameplan to stop UConn, the Huskies are 17-1 against Rutgers since 1995 for a reason – they have too much talent.

PICK: Connecticut Huskies

NHL Betting Preview: Wild-Predators
By CBSSports

Minnesota Wild at Nashville Predators (-149, 5)

Pekka Rinne is on an impressive run that began with a win over the Minnesota Wild.

Jose Theodore had one going until losing his last start, but the Nashville Predators have never beaten him.

Rinne is expected to start as he tries to lead the Predators to a sixth straight win Tuesday night when they host Theodore and the Wild.

Rinne made 22 saves in a 4-1 win over Minnesota (21-16-5) on Dec. 31. He's given up one goal in winning each of his last four starts, including a spectacular 42-save effort in Saturday's 2-1 victory at San Jose.

"Our goaltender stole this one for us," coach Barry Trotz said. "We battled pretty hard but we looked like a tired hockey team."

Rinne has made at least 40 saves in back-to-back games after not having to do so in any of his first 24 starts.

Nashville (22-13-6) last won six straight March 12-21, a run during which Rinne had a 1.15 goals-against average. Since that six-game streak, he hadn't won more than two consecutive starts until winning his last four.

The Predators won five in a row Dec. 8-17, then lost their next five before this current run.

"We've been streaky," said Rinne, 3-2-1 with a 2.81 goals-against average in six starts against Minnesota. "Hopefully we can turn that around. It's frustrating when you play like that. If we want to be one of the top teams, we have to be more consistent. I think we're headed in the right direction."

Rinne has shut out the Wild the only two times he's started against them in Nashville.

Minnesota, though, will be looking to win four straight on the road for the first time since a five-game run March 8-17, 2007. The Wild are 11-6-3 on the road after going 13-24-4 last season.

"I think there is a confidence right now when we go out on the road, which we didn't have last season," coach Todd Richards said.

Theodore made his fifth straight start in place of Niklas Backstrom, out with a lower-body injury, in Sunday's 4-0 loss to Dallas. The backup had a 1.75 GAA in winning his previous four starts.

He's 5-0-0 with a 1.83 GAA in six career games against Nashville, including 32 saves in a 5-2 victory Nov. 26.

Theodore has helped the Wild kill off all 17 of their opponents' power-play chances in the last six games. That wasn't the issue Sunday as Minnesota's four-game win streak ended mainly due to a lack of energy.

The Wild fell behind by two goals in the first period and were shut out for the first time since Nov. 29 in their fourth game in six days.

"No excuses at all," Richards said. "There was a way to win the game tonight, and we weren't able to execute that. Our tanks were low, but I think that's when you have to play a smart game. The first thing to go when fatigue sets in is your mind, and we did some uncharacteristic things, as far as how we've been playing hockey."

Martin Havlat has four points during the Wild's three-game road win streak and leading goal scorer Cal Clutterbuck has scored in each of his last four away from home.

"On the road we just seem to get out there and get down to work," defenseman Nick Schultz said. "We get results away from the Xcel."

Tuesday's Best NHL Bets

Minnesota Wild at Nashville Predators (-149, 5)

The Nashville Predators are a streaky team, but right now they’re white hot.

The Predators have won five straight, allowing more than one goal just once, when they yielded two goals in a 5-2 win. Finnish goalie Pekka Rinne has allowed four goals over his last four games, making 40-plus saves in the last two victories.

The Minnesota Wild have also been operating in a similar fashion, having allowed just two goals in a three-game span before losing 4-0 to Dallas.

Starting goaltender Niklas Backstrom has been sidelined with a hip injury, but backup Jose Theodore has been playing like his 2002 Vezina-winning form, backstopping the Wild through the recent win streak.

Both teams pride themselves on defense and with the way both netminders are playing you shouldn’t expect the red light to go off too often.

PICK: Under

Phoenix Coyotes at Columbus Blue Jackets (-128, 5.5)

The Desert Dogs are mired in mediocrity right now, going 4-2-2 in their last eight games. The problem in Phoenix has been the lack of consistency in scoring goals. The Coyotes have 25 goals in their last 10 contests, except 11 of those tallies came in two games.

Captain Shane Doan is on fire, with 13 points over an eight-game point streak that was snapped in Saturday’s loss to Buffalo. While Doan’s linemates, Eric Belanger and Scottie Upshall, are also collecting points, the team has very little offense otherwise.

The team also lost forward Wojtek Wolski, who was traded on Monday to the New York Rangers for veteran defenseman Michal Rozsival, who could join the team against Columbus.

Playing a shorthanded team that lacks scoring is good news for Columbus, although that’s the only good news the team has received in awhile.

The Blue Jackets are on a four-game losing streak and are giving up goals in bunches. Columbus netminders have allowed 20 goals during the skid, which is not a pleasant statistic.

While Phoenix may be up-and-down, the Blue Jackets are just down…and falling.

PICK: Phoenix Coyotes

BETTORS' TIPS AND NOTES
Bettor's Best Friend (BBF): Tuesday's Wagering Tips
By Covers Staff

Lines To Watch

Phoenix Suns at Denver Nuggets. This game is currently off the board, but with rumors of a Carmelo Anthony blockbuster imminent, the possible absence of Carmelo and Chauncey Billups, or attempts at figuring out their current mindset, could lead to fluctuations in the line prior to game time.

Who’s Hot

NHL: The under in 9-0 in the Washington Capitals last nine games against Southeast division rivals.

NBA: The Minnesota Timberwolves are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against teams with a winning percentage better than .600.

NCAAB: The under is 7-1-1 in Texas’ last eight visits to Texas Tech

NHL: Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne is 4-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and .969 save percentage over his last four games.

Who’s Not

NHL: The Ottawa Senators are winless in five games, scoring just seven goals over that stretch.

NBA: The Sacramento Kings are 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS win.

NCAAB: The Auburn Tigers are 0-3-2 ATS in their last five road games.

NHL: New York Rangers forward Marian Gaborik has just two goals and five points in his last 10 games.

Key Stat

15 – The current win streak by the San Antonio Spurs over the Minnesota Timberwolves, currently the longest in the NBA by one team over another. The last time Minnesota topped San Antonio was Jan. 3, 2007 and they just lost to the Spurs 94-91 on Sunday.

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Detroit Red Wings center Valtteri Filppula has missed the team’s last two games with a groin injury. He is a game-time decision, but even if he plays a groin injury can linger for a long time. Filppula has 10 goals and 15 assists in 40 games this season, but he is even more valuable right now as the team is playing without the likes of Pavel Datsyuk, Dan Cleary and Mike Modano.

Game Of The Day

Montreal Canadiens at New York Rangers (-145, 5)

Notable Quotable

“I dream about our center getting 10 rebounds.” - New Jersey Nets coach Avery Johnson, in response to being asked if he is dreaming about the team acquiring Denver Nuggets All-Star Carmelo Anthony. Johnson has publicly been criticizing Brook Lopez as of late, as the third-year center has averaged 8.1 and 8.7 rebounds per game his first two years, but is only averaging 5.9 in 2010-11.

Tips And Notes

Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan said on Monday that he is contemplating a lineup change, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. Sloan is fed up with the team’s constant slow starts to games. Utah leads the league with 12 victories when trailing by at least 10 points and have won seven times when down by as much as 15. All-Star point guard Deron Williams and frontcourt players Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson are apparently safe in their starting spots, meaning that Andrei Kirilenko and Raja Bell could be shifted to the bench, with Ronnie Price and C.J. Miles as possible candidates for a promotion.

The New York Rangers and Phoenix Coyotes completed a trade on Monday, with New York sending veteran Michal Rozsival to the desert in exchange for young forward Wojtek Wolski. The Rangers needed a forward after Alex Frolov joined the long list of New York forwards to go down with injury, while Phoenix finally had struggled to find a top-four defensemen to replace Zbynek Michalek, who left via free agency this offseason. While the trade fills needs for both teams, it’s not confirmed if the players will play in Tuesday’s contests.

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley missed practice Monday due to an ankle injury. Beasley first suffered the injury in Friday’s games against Portland, but re-aggravated it when he rolled his ankle early in Sunday’s loss to the Spurs. He played just 11 minutes and scored only two points. Beasley, the team’s leading scorer at 21.9 points per game, is listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision.
