1 Unit on Houston Astros -128

The Reds picked up a win over Houston yesterday, but it was just their 3rd home win over Houston in 19 games over the last 3 seasons. Astros ace Roy Oswalt takes the hill tonight and I'll back him here as he is an incredible 22-1 when starting against Cincy with an ERA of 2.42 and a WHIP of 1.102 in his career. The Astros bats are nothing to write home about, but they should have the edge against Owings today, who enters with an ERA of 5.16 in his starts this season. The Astros are 10-1 in Oswalt's last 11 road starts vs. the Reds and I expect to see this dominant trend continue tonight.

Tampa Bay at CLEVELAND +110

Cleveland has the worst team in the American League. Tampa Bay is the defending AL champion. Yet with a 10-0 lead, the Rays squandered it and lost 11-10. And so the losing streak continues. Tampa has lost 14 straight in Cleveland, and with Carl Pavano and Matt Garza meeting for a second time in 11 days, I’m going to take the underdog here, as Pavano will be looking for revenge.

The veteran right-hander has won four of his last five starts and comes in after allowing three runs and six hits in six innings of an 8-3 victory over Kansas City this past Thursday. And prior to beating the Tribe and Pavano, Garza had been 0-3 with a 6.12 ERA in his previous five starts against the Indians. I’ll side with history and think the Tribe will carry the momentum over from last night’s dramatic comeback win.

Monday: 3-7, -5.2125 units

So much for the bad beats balancing out. I thought Saturday night was bad enough with Oakland blowing a 5-1 8th inning lead and losing 8-7. I have never seen anything like it. I can't remember one game where I trailed by 2+ runs in the 8th inning and pulled out a win the past month and and I also can't remember any single day where I had a pair of horrific beats like yesterday. Arizona had a 7-1 lead in the 8th inning and loses 9-7. That was nothing. TB led 10-0 early, 10-2 in the 8th and 10-4 in the 9th. They even led 10-5 in the 9th with 2 outs. Here is the 9th inning:

walk, out, single, error, out, HR.....walk, walk, walk, walk, single.

I figure Bob Moose is the proper person to pay tribute to above as I seem to attract every moose possible.

The past month has not been a good one. My apologies to people tailing. I was close to taking a day or two off. Let's hope things turn around today.

NBA Playoffs: 5/26

Under 188 Cleveland / Orlando 8:30 ET TNT 2 Units
All of a sudden, the mighty Cavaliers have been brought back down to Earth. The way these teams have been playing, it looks like Orlando's the side... at least from a stats standpoint. But from a business standpoint, you can't go against Cleveland here. They have worked hard all year and most of the time they look like the best team in basketball (as their record reflects), and they are facing a very important game tonight. We're not going to say it's a must win only because this is the Cavs and they have the resources to come back from a 1-3 hole, so we'll leave the "alert" at important, not must. Then you look at the Magic... they are a confident team who came within one second of having the brooms out tonight. We're leaving the side alone but feel the Under is the play....

Cleveland's biggest problem has been stopping Dwight Howard underneath. That's been the whole key to Orlando's offense because when he's getting loose, the Magic's shooters are having a field day. Cleveland must contain Superman and they have the personnel to do it. Look for the Cavs to go back to what they've done best early in the playoffs... Defense. Despite 2 of the first 3 games in this series going Over and the one lone Under staying under just barely, the line maker has stood his ground not budging off of 188 (tonight's line is actually a point lower than game 3's). We're expecting a classic defensive performance by Cleveland tonight as they know that's their best shot at getting the road win... by taking the crowd out of it early..

Free Pick for Tuesday

So I know I've had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don't play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don't want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren't intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.

You can find more great winners every day by visiting our sports betting forum. Handicapper Steve Janus won the college football title here at the site, and he's giving away all of his baseball plays for FREE in the forum.

15* Detroit Tigers over Kansas City Royals at +145 at Sportsbook.com

Nobody can like going against Zack Greinke the way he's pitched this year, but I see value here with the Tigers who are throwing Edwin Jackson, a guy who has given up just 4 runs in his last 22 innings and only 4 ER in 27 innings on the road this year. The Royals have lost five of their last six games while Detroit has won eight of their last 10. Kansas City is scoring just 2.6 runs per gae over their last 7 and 4 runs per game against right-handed starters. Detroit is scoring 5.5 runs per game against right-handers so with two solid arms on the hill tonight, take the better offense at the underdog price.
Free Pick Records:

CBB: 51-36
NBA: 26-38
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1
MLB: 20-20 (-231)

The Four Most Consistent............

arthur ralph has been on fire consistently

Ralph...O.C. Dooley.....King Betting.....Costley << ALL consistent:howdy:

Not sure about who to fade, I just stick with these 4.
Also, I'm not looking to go 5-0 every night a tidy profit each night will build throughout the MLB Season. It's a 7 month season.

The one good thing about these guys is that they DO NOT give out alot of plays...just value.
