Trump to hold first outdoor rally post-assassination attempt in North Carolina.
Donald Trump will hold his first outdoor rally since an assignation attempt at an open air space in Pennsylvania last month.
The event will happen at the North Carolina Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame in Asheboro on Wednesday afternoon.
Museum officials told ABC 45 News that security is very tight for the event. Secret Service agents would not let media get pictures of where Trump will speak until the event is open to the public.
"Get here early and be patient, it's a two-lane road outside," said museum official Wayne Broome.
Trump will be joined by his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance. The topic of the rally is national security. Museum officials said World War II era planes will be the backdrop for Trump's speech.
This is Trump's second rally in North Carolina this month. Supporters started lining up early Thursday morning for the 2 p.m. speech.
