Senate GOP is voting on a 500b stimulus tomorrow compared to the 1.8T WH wants and 2.2T Dem house wants.

Seems hard to see that as anything other than they're looking to a world beyond Trump if he can't get them in line to vote for what he wants.

I try not to overanalyze the day to day drama that is politics but I am surprised they're deciding to become fiscally conservative again 2 weeks before an election when the stakes are highest.

Doubt that bill or any other gets to Trump's desk .. So no need to analyze it the way I see it

That is right, doesnt change that fact that only a moron with no ability to handicap odds thinks Trump is greater than +300.

trump is like a two-touchdown underdog. it's possible trump wins but highly highly unlikely

the polling in 2016 showed a much more competitiev race than this

Trump won pretty soundly in 2016, it wasn't that close. Trump could have lost Florida and still won in 2016.

so wrong. trump barely won a couple swing states (By less than 1%)

the polling was also A LOT more favortable to trump in 2016 than it is this time.

2004 was pretty close too I think Bush won that by about 30 electoral votes, not as close as 2000, but closer than 2016. Maybe I'm just remembering it bigger because I was a bit shocked by how much he won
by, I think it was 80 electoral votes. I don't look at the popular vote though when gauging closeness, because I think it's irrelevant, and if it were relevant it would change how people vote IMO.

I guess 2004 was closer, Kerry lost NM by 6k votes and Iowa by 11k. Bush did beat him by much more in the bigger swing states than Trump beat Clinton by though. Trump barely beat Clinton in PA/FL whereas Bush beat Kerry in OH/FL by 2% and 5%.

Point remains though, 70k in 3 swing states is not exactly soundly. Trump margin for error very small.

If he wins this time around, it will likely be a similar razor thin result despite proclamations of LANDSLIDE by the RX faithful.

I remember this election well. I was 22 years old and didn't understand what partisan radio was back then. Listened to a conservative radio station who kept preaching how this election was over and i ended up betting way too much on W at terrible odds.

On election day Kerry was actually a -325 favorite as the exit polling favorite him overwhelming early in the day.

The Trump presidency has been a disaster by any objective measure. He seems to be imploding before our very eyes. I waited in line for 90 minutes yesterday in order to vote. Voters waiting in line for lengthy periods wearing masks will remember the man who blew the pandemic response and created this situation. And few if any voters will choose third party candidates this time. It is all over for Trump. I just hope he doesn't do too much damage to the country during the 100-day period between the election and Biden's inauguration.

Dems believe in science. Trump didn't at lease until he got sick. If Trump sells the pandemic, he wins. He didn't and now he is dead money.

So true. The pandemic should have been a blessing for Trump. Normally during a crisis our country rallies around the current president. Recently look at Dessert Storm or 9/11 those presidents had their approval ratings shoot through the roof. Trump should have embraced this crisis but instead he went the Trump way.

The Dems want us to believe that Trump fucked up the whole world with his Chink virus response. Sure, Brazil, India, China and Iran, we trust their reporting numbers. He fucked up Europe too?

That's not a good explanation.. How did Trump fuck up his response to the pandemic ? I'm sure fake news as some kind of talking point for you. But for us that don't follow fake news , we've got the full response and it sounds like he did everything he could ..

Maybe all the deaths attributed to nursing homes could have been handled better , but that wasn't Trumps responsibility.

His response sounds like he is trying to say Trump didnt "sell the pandemic" as in went in fear mongering mode like the Dems did and are doing right now. He didnt try and scare people with lies about the disease just to gain power over them.

This DonEag is a parrot of the MSN and lacks any type of independent thought and logic..he needs to be told what to think as when asked a question he cannot answer it on his own.
