Arrived at 8pm last night.
I upgraded my comp to a suite for like $40 more per night and it was a good move. The room is beautiful and quite spacious (I also got to boot the Mrs out to the living room to watch TV while I lie in bed...she wakes me up often on our trips doing that). The front desk attendant informed me there is no maid service, room service, or ice. If you need extra towels, you need to call for them. Not a problem for us but including it for information purposes.
I got bad info on the face covering policy (or they changed their policies since I got the info...probably the latter). Face shields are not ok. You must wear a mask (strike one). Casino was fairly busy last night. No crap tables had a spot available. Tables were all $25 minimums. That's a little rich for my blood since I'm normally playing 3 numbers with max odds. Looked around to find a Pai Gow table to bide my time, but that table had a $50 minimum. Left the wife to play her video poker and went to bed. Woke up at 5:30 this morning, hoping things might have settled down. This time, they had 7 total tables open. The 2 craps tables were now a $50 minimum...ugh! I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be a non-gaming trip. I'm looking at other attractions right now (maybe I'll take in the WWII Museum). Not a great start. Dinner reservations at GW Fins tonight.
