I've always said that the halftime show was more for the "non football fans".
Non football fans watch the super bowl for the commercials and halftime show.
Football fans really dont care what the halftime show is. They just want to watch the game.
I still remember in the 90's, we used to turn the channel to watch "in living color" or the "beavis and butthead halftime show"
