RJ Bell tweeted Miss St would be favored over OSU, TCU, and Baylor.

Bama -5.5 vs MSU
Oregon -2.5 vs FSU

my bad then.. if it ended today with bama, oregon, fsu, msu i think you cant complain... only thing i would hate is to see is two SEC play eachother..

I agree.....that would suck in the first round. Fudge the numbers so they don't have a rematch first round.

Fair list. I just want to see the fraud B10 team, OSU, out of the top 4.

And on that note, who the F thought a 4-team playoff was a good idea? I don't think many people would be upset w/ your current top-8 (sure, UGA would have an argument w/ 2-loss UCLA, but they should have taken care of business vs. Florida).

I guess my rankings now would be:

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Mississippi state
4. Baylor?????(who really knows)

the 4th spot is a crapshoot right now... It could be tcu, Florida state or Ohio state but I'm leaving TCU out because baylor beat them, leaving Ohio state out because they had a heart attack again today against a very depleted and stumbling indiana at home. And finally florida state, wellllll..... Here's a serious question i want to have people answer so I can get some perception other than my own...

set aside the rankings, the committee's ranking format and criteria and all that other crap...... Does anyone truly feel like Florida state is one of the four best teams right now? Being undefeated doesn't count As an argument in this case, at least not in my opinion. They have nearly lost 4 games against average to below average opponents. Their defense is porous, their offense is a roller coaster most of the games until the fourth quarter and its all in a weak conference. If they get in because they go undefeated they will have a chance to beat anybody because its football and anything can happen, but can you imagine them playing oregon, bama, miss. State, tcu or baylor????? It's one thing to come back from 17 points against louisville, but that's not gonna happen against teams that can score 50+ every game at will....but what do I know. What do you guys think?

Unless Florida State loses they are in. They can win 3-0 vs. Florida and 3-0 in the ACC championship game...and they are in.

If you're a Ducks fan you want the Ducks & Fla St to remain 2 & 3...for me, its the most favorable matchup out there

It probably will not end up that way, but the Committee is just looking for an excuse to get Ohio State into the playoffs. Worst Case senario for Miss. State now. Since Ole Miss got blown out yesterday, Miss. State is going to be expected to win, and win big time. There is a lot of talk about how important winning your conference Championship game is. Ohio State will defeat Michigan (Bye Brady Hoke) and probably play a good Wisconsin team in the Big 10 CC game. A win there will be looked on rather favorably by the Committee. As far as the numers game goes, my guess is that IF Florida State gets past Florida and then Ga. Tech in their CC game, the Committee will set them up against Alabama, if Ohio State gets in. The Rose Bowl would love an Ohio State-Oregon Big 10-Pac 12 match up. 'Bama and Florida State would like the fact that they do not have to travel far.

I Would love to see this. Basically a free pass into the NC game for whoever draws FSU. Give the people what they want and let's see Bama vs OSU or Oregon.

I'd be up for an Osu Oregon matchup. Last time we met we were told we had no chance but still won. Keep on Haiten!

The only way we could see a Bama-Fla St matchup is if Fla St drops to 4 or Oregon trades spots with Bama... Ducks will not pass Bama and they shouldn't..... I also think Ohio St finds a way into playoff...... Does anyone here feel Fla St is going down to Ga Tech ?

I think we would have problems with you guys... both teams would both hit 35+...rather play Fla St, Baylor, or TCU

Thanks for the respect red eye. I'm sure it would be a great game.

yea despite the flak the Big Ten gets, imo, Ohio St can win it this year. I'm higher on them then most.... With that being said, I feel that there are no power houses like USC of the past, so the championship is up for grabs... This Duck team is not as good as the last 4 Duck teams, but might not have to be either....

In reality, this is Oregon's last shot at the NC for a while. They lose Mariota and at least 4 more on offense, and 6 or so on defense. Their schedule in 2015 is much tougher, going to Michigan State, Washington, Arizona State, and Stanford and hosting USC the week after the Stanford game. It is going to be net to impossible for Oregon, or any Pac 12 team, for that matter, to lose less than two games next season. With USC back in business, UDub returning good players and recruiting well, Stanford (if they ever open up their offense), and the fact that on any given day....Oregon will not be able to dominate the Pac 12 like they did the past 4 years.

Ducks are actually a very young team.. Mariota is a difference maker... replacing him will be tough.... the encouraging thing is players are wanting to come to Oregon.....we'll still be a factor
