You make an excellent point, RLR.There shouldn't be any "realistic" top 5 that includes a runningback, let alone #1 and #2. Not that I disagree that they aren't talents deserving of hardware, it's just the nature of the Heisman being a QB award. Today you can rush for 2500 yards and not even come close to winning the Heisman. 25 years ago that would have swept all voting regions.
Colt is about the only guy in this boat L15 years to get beat out by a non-QB and his 2009 stats were not all that impressive. Hell, he got beat out by 2 non-qb's....Based on the history of the award it will likely go to a QB who leads his team to national title contention or has a good season with stats that can't be overlooked..
