Too late for a free room at Golden Nugget?

IOW, you have to play about 100 bucks a hand an hr at a table to qualify for room food and beverage.

So lets see, you play 100-200/hand for 12 hrs a day x 2 days, and lets say you lose ONLY 1.5%, which is above average.

That ONLY means that you should lose roughly 2,000 dollars that weekend. NO THANKS, I think I'd rather pay my 12.99 good buffets and get my drinks for free from the cocktail waitress and just leave them a tip..

I think I am much better off that way.. 2,000 bucks is a bit steep for me to pay for a few meals and a few drinks. thank you very much.

By that I mean $400 per hand and up.

krackman is referring to $100 per hand for about 4 hours per day average.

Don't know who came up with the 12 hour a day story.

This can run into some serious losses if the cards don't cooperate.

What I said was if there are any groups(3 or more posters) that are going to need a ride at the same time from the airport I will be happy to get you to the nugget.

If you guys are coming in alone or with friends I would recommend going over to pickup section 14. For 5 bucks you can get a shared ride in a limo. They have been there for years and do a good job.

so what, even if it's for 2 days..At 100 a hand for 4 hrs for 2 days would mean that you would lose roughly 500 bucks in 2 days.

You can get much better than that by paying your own room and meals for 2 days.. Plus, you would have NO risk of losing anymore than that.

Just because you are mathematically supposed to lose about 500, does NOT mean that it will ONLY cost you 500. At 100 a hand, yes, you should lose about 500, but at 100 a hand, along with all the splitting, doubling, re splitting, re doubling hands, a bit of bad luck and you can easily lose 6000 in a weekend, and don't say that's not possible.

I will stick with paying my hotel instead of being forced to gamble for a specific period of time. Like I said many times, do I have the word SUCKER written on my forehead.

It freaks me out how people always think they are getting a free hotel and food by just having to gamble, when in fact, it costs them more to play, and they don't even know this.

Read a book few yrs back called something like "Getting Comps" and it talks about how you can get comps by playing and using different techniques...might be fun thread to start since everybody going to Vegas...remember a few..1)When pit boss looking put out more on the table and pull some back when he leaves as this will raise your avg bet 2)take long bathroom breaks since everything based on time 3) definitely get a players card...remember this EVERYBODY CAN GET A BUFFETT

hey shrink, i am a guy who needs his space. I weigh close to 230 lbs. What kind of rooms are we going to have there? Small rooms? Medium rooms? Shrinky, I think you should reserve me a penthouse suite. I need my space kenny boy. And i think you should include the room service for your buddy sick gambler. Shrinky, i don't care what the others have, you can give them the small rooms, BUT sick gambler needs the suite.
