People don't really care what attitudes apply to a capitalistic society or what a competitive mindset is. When it comes to sports, they mostly just want everyone to act like huge fucking pussies with no personality.

They actually thought the "Aww gee shucks" was Brady's real personality?

What people are you talking about? Who is outraged about this?

The headline is just clickbait. You really think "people" care?

I know y'all want to think people are outraged, to bolster that perceived army of haters Pats fans think are out there, but I don't think anyone sees this for any more than it is.

Not a large majority about this particular issue, but yes when an athlete isn't all proper, people always feign faux-outrage.

See post #12

Also I could careless about building any false narrative. I'm pretty consistent in that I always take this tone when people nitpick athletes whether it be LeBron James, Kobe, Tiger, Sherman, whoever.

I love when athletes are real.

Lmao@ 7-8 more years, haha!

He will retire within 3 -4 years.

I would take Brady at age 45 over these guys in their prime.....Brian Hoyer, Shaun Hill, Geno Smith, EJ Manuel, Charlie Whitehurst, or Johnny Manziel....all of whom started last year.

Most of those guys aren't really in their "prime" yet, so we don't know what their prime will be.

But yeah, once it all plays out, you're probably right.

I can't imagine he could play QB at 45 without tons of PEDs. Favre was pretty good at 39 then he just fell completely off the wagon at 40. Brady hasn't taken as much punishment as him but still, father time is undefeated.

Maybe if they find a way to preserve his mind in another humans body but Ray Kurzweil says that isn't going to happen for another 20-30 years.

Why is that?

Because some of us aren't robots, think outside the box, and have the ability to break things down for more than the smokescreen that normally fools the rest of you on a daily basis?

Some of us are Morpheus, while the rest of you live in The Matrix without a clue.

As for Brady, ive always thought he was humble.

But apparently not, and i despise arrogance.

Also Brady - Bros can say what they want when comparing the 2 but the FACT is that Manning has proven he can succeed on different teams, where most players fail.

Has Brady proven otherwise yet?!?
It's a simple yes or no & not pulling out your crystal ball & saying he could do it too...

More than likely you are right. Steve Deberg started a game at 44 and I'm sure Brady will keep himself in good shape.

I was joking.

What did Brady say in those emails that strikes you as overly-arrogant?

Everyone wants their QB to be confident. To think he is the best. Of course there is a fine line between confident and arrogant. But if anyone has earned the right to believe that he is the best around, I'd say it's Brady.

A perfect mixture of humility and killer instinct doesn't exist. Even if a QB is publicly humble as can be, he's got that mentality that he's the best. And if he doesn't, he probably sucks.

I've said it before, I stand by it. Peyton Manning is the greatest qb of all time. He has basically redefined the game. And all the Pats fans will bring up post season crap and SB rings. Brady could have easily 0 as have 6. An Adam Vinaterri kick here or there, a tuck rule that was obviously a fumble, a weird ass catch from Tyree, a fluke interception at the 1 yard line?

Manning has had multiple playoff games with a perfect qb rating.

Most playoffs are predictable. NFL is different. There are basically around 8 teams next year that have a realistic chance to win a SB. Each basically a play or 2 from winning it.

Manning came to the line not with plays but ideas. Now everyone with a white qb that has an iq above 100 does that.

He is the reason all of this elite 11 and qb camps are set up. Brady is good, but also benefits from Bellichick and crazy defenses you never see. I prob. have seen over 3,000 snaps from Manning. I know I am right.

The Pats/ Colts crap came down to defense. The Colts always played the same base coverage ( hence my hatred of Dungy). Bellichick would rush 2 or 8 at any given time. Same personel.

The Patriots every Manning year had better defenses than the Colts. Throw that in with a blizzard.

And Brady acting like he is playing till 45 is stupid. Everyone dismisses Manning as a great QB now but it was only 2 years he set crazy records with 55 TD's and 5,600 passing yards.

Put the pipe down.

He just won a Superbowl vs an all time great D while being surrounded by white guys at the skill positions, what more proof do you need?

Never smoked anything & never wil.
Maybe that's why i see things a little clearer than some ha.

But seriously you're referring to a whole different argument but I'm on your side with this one.

But almost that entire Patriots offense is basically white.
Why did you make it sound as if Brady had a disadvantage because of it?

NFL's version of the Larry Bird-led Celtics full of skilled white guys.

And i can tell you for a fact & personal experience growing up where i did that the fellas (brothers) hate losing to a team full of white guys like Seattle's D did to the Pats..

No one would have ever heard of Brady if the Raiders picked him in the 6th round.

Manning took a 3-13 team to the playoffs in his second year.
Brady misses a season, they still go 11-5 with a guy that has proven he really sucks.

It's not like the Pats have had the dream team for a lot of these years that Brady has succeeded. Before last season, Gronk had been hurt in the playoffs the previous 3 years. I can't think of another time when a team had their #1 target hurt in the playoffs 3 straight years. I'd say that is some pretty bad fortune.

The reason you haven't seen a lot of QBs succeed with 2 teams is because very few QBs in their prime change teams. It rarely ever happens.

The dunk and dink offense suits Brady's skill set. His arm strength has never been in the lights out category. These 'white' receivers are actually fantastic at what they do, the system they are in . Because they're 'white' doesnt mean Brady is 'more brilliant' :)

He is almost 40, of course he is arm strength isn't what it used to be. He hasn't had a legit deep threat since Moss though.

I think those two had a little bit of success together with the deep ball now that I recall....

So would I, but reality is he won't be playing at 45.......he's delusional if he thinks he will be.

Good grief... He was just talkin' a little smack. It's not as if he dislikes Manning... He's just being competitive - he wants to be remembered as the best QB when people think back on this period of NFL football. I appreciate the two of them, as one's legacy isn't quite the same without the other. I think they both realize this too, and appreciate each other (Manning, fairly recently, called Brady his friend and said regardless of what comes of deflategate, he'll remain his friend).
