a decision rendered by Goodall

ignoring eyewitness testimony
ignoring science (not a single scientist came out in support of the NFL, every study debunked the NFL)
ignoring the fact that every legal mind debunked the NFL's case (not the authority, the evidence)
false leaks
lies
suppressed evidence
inconsistencies
Roger making a mockery of due process by ruling (but letting a subordinate claim such) and then hearing the appeal because he claims he didn't make the initial ruling

Roger loses every-time an objective third party gets involved

The courts said Roger has the authority to do what he wants, to act like he did, because the players gave him that right. That's all they ruled on

Roger will never be trusted with such authority again, he diminished the integrity of the position he holds, the next union contract will look very different

You can only play the hand he played once in a lifetime

Can't wait for the season to begin, going to be yet another great season for the Patriots

no sir he has played that hand way more then once in his lifetime.
Make no mistake, what he did to the saints was much worse and is the main reason for the dip in performance the last 2 years. All you have to deal with is giving a 40 year old qb a few weeks rest

this decision is changing the next CBA, that's the difference

That was going to change way before this. There are more teams in the NFL then just the Pats. There have been way more incompetent decisions made by that idiot before this one.

This is just idiot hand #583 from this clown.

This was not the straw that broke the back. That happened a long time ago.

I have been calling this idiot an idiot way before the Pats played the Colts.

Welcome to club.

we're on the same page, but what he did to the Saints had nothing to do with the CBA

that's about a partnership agreement between the owners, the same reason Kraft accepted the fine and the lost draft picks

I think Kraft may start going after Roger's job now, I'm hoping enough owners want him out at this point

Here's how the Patriots have fared in the regular season with and without Tom Brady as their starting QB.

doesn't seem plausible

he only missed one season, they went 11-5 in 2008

don't recall him ever missing a start besides that one season

he hasn't missed a start since 2008

you must be including games before he became their starter

4-14? no other explanation

yep, that's it

they went 5-11 in 2000 and 0-2 in 2001 before he became a starter

that's 5-13

then they went 1-0 with him as a starter in 2008 (he played one series I think)

so they went 10-5 with Cassell has the starter

5-13 + 10-5 = 15-18

I don't give that 5-13 record in 2000 and 2001 very much weight

10-5 (really 11-5) in 2008 means more, although that too was many moon ago

Article 46 has been in place for years, but Goodell is the first commissioner to appear to abuse his power. I'm no Brady fan boy, but I can't stand Goodell. I hope Kraft does work behind the scenes to dump the guy. The next cba will be very interesting, because I would assume the players will try to negotiate some significant changes to the article, but will the owners be willing to negotiate? If they are, I would think they'd expect some type of significant give back in return. Over the years, the union has caved every time. Perhaps if Goodell is still at the helm, the players will finally show some "balls".
