Bush is not a true conservative. Quadrupling the national debt isn't a conservative idea. Neither is helping people with a down payment on a house or helping them make their house payments. That's a liberal idea and those ideas are what caused this mess, not conservative ideas.

Please try to post something you actually know something about.

That is the truth, unfortunately. Not many conservatives around these days.

Hmm, every avowed conservative that fails "was not a true conservative".

Trying to nail jello to the wall, is the correct term.

At least I can state that I think Bush is an inept idiot, and
I voted for him twice.

And you are probably dumb enough to vote for him a 3rd time if you could have.

My way? You mean cutting spending and not bailing out bad businesses?

I was worried about Dubyas quadrupling the debt to fight an invented war and you weren't intersted. Now after we have been sent to the edge of a depression the national debt is a great concern for you. Sheesh!

"You" is meant for all the new found republican economist.

The Iraq War did not quadruple the debt.

$100 Billion per year...now Obama is spending ten times that amount without a peep from the formerly panicked liberals.

If $100 Billion per year was a tragedy...what is spending 10 times that amount?

Simple question. How is 10 times more... better now? :think2:

10 times more is better b/c its being injected into OUR domestic economy and has the potential to help many AMERICANS. Spending 100 billion on a war that we have no business in, is a WASTE of money and was only really helping a few american companies. So, MJ, 10 times more is better b/c its being spent in the right place.

its like comparing spending $100 on bubble gum, or $1,000 on seeds and supplies for your garden. I know thats slightly exaggerated, but you see my point i hope.

You must mean like Clinton did because no Republican has done that recently.

Clinton didn't cut spending at all, it went up under his administration. Don't forget in 1992, he wanted to increase government spending.

Congress and many or most of Obama's associates agreed at the time it was a war that we had business in. You can't rewrite history now.

Regardless there is little evidence this Trillion dollar spending spree is about investments that America must make now.

Most of the infrastructure spending will not actually take place for years...you can't just build a bridge in 2 months...it doesn't work that way.

Why don't you..........
I suppose "credit default swaps",and the 30:1 "asset to debt ratio" that investment banks were allowed to carry had nothing to with this mess.

Wake up!!!
