I'm not sure about the well liked before Colorado. That statement may be West Coast influenced. I always remembered people referring to him as very arrogant and just not likeable as a person or a player.

maybe well liked was the wrong word....but internationally popular.....more than lebron is today

You have to admit that he brings a lot of this on himself. I actually liked him when he was in Cleveland. After "the decision", his like ability went way down (IMO).

I would wager that if Jordon was still King, then Lebron wouldn't act so cocky.

I actually think he hit his popularity high point after colorado, once he embraced the Black mamba thing and didn't try to be the baby face and embraced being the guy who hit the dagger and talked smack and pushed his teamates. He seemed to get more respect once he embraced being an arrogant cock.
