Rory?

ive kinda given up on him . Big thread at Golfwrx on Rory , few pages deep already. Titled- waht happened to Rory, underacheived. here are some of the replies;

Guys make too much money these days. Make someone a 'perennial top 5' with companies throwing money at them left and right and they just wont perform in the long run.

Unless they have a god given talent paired WITH a killer mental instinct that surpasses 1's and 0's in the bank - you wont see another Tiger for quite some time until that happens again.

....................

Honestly I think Rory will be lucky to win another major. Super talented but super soft mentally. He's never gonna win the Masters and he'll never win on a traditional US Open course like Oakmont.

............................

Rory is basically the only golfer out there who we think underperforms when he doesn't win.
In terms of pure overall talent, he's on his own tier in the pro game.
The criticisms that regard his mental or emotional approach are somewhat valid. They have to be.
Or else he's especially unlucky. I did see a putt today that went past the hole then broke backward toward it and went around the cup to finish cup high on the other side. The most bizarre miss of nearly perfect speed I've ever seen.
So I don't blame him for not going out there every single swing to try to beat that kind of horsesh1t. Can't be done.
Tiger was obviously amazing in every facet, but consider the luck element in putting for a second and compare it to pro poker players. Some people just draw out more often over a lifetime and some people go dead broke getting drawn out on when they have their money in with the right odds.
Rory might just be that guy - the one who is constantly going in with the flopped straight only to get rivered by someone else. And then once it happens to you enough times you start misplaying the future hands out of superstition.

(huh?)

...................................................

He once played good golf
Then he moved to Florida
Florida Man sucks

(lol)

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

As they say, nobody does less with good drives than Rory.

.....................................

here is my 2 cents worth**** May of 2017 he signs a insane 100 million dollar contract with TM
Also around that same time he let his caddie go that he won 4 majors with and put his "beer buddy" on the bag.

gl with your bets. And gl to Rory!!!!

saw some highlights on the swing. Looks solid, but dont know how that body holds up for 4 days
He's not running a marathon. He's not in final workouts prior to the Mr. Olympia contest. It's not
a 15-round heavyweight boxing match.

It's walking 4 miles for 4 straight days and swinging a club 280 times. He'll make it.

Don't call the ambulance just yet. Sheesh. :D

A question that Woods has, obviously, already answered for himself. He doesn't need
a life coach, but I guess you're gonna apply for the job anyway.

i was providing my insight for betting purposes. The better bet is to make the cut as perhaps the body wont hold for 4 days. Just an opinion

life coach? lol , wtf you have any insight to share? or just trolling in the early hours of the morning

Tiger must be an alien. No way he is -1 at Augusta. I have been watching it and it still doesn't seem possible. His leg is supported by rods. He can't full squat down to look at the greens.

that was an ugly 6 at 8. But he got real lucky at 9, had a second shot from the pine straw

they may have overdone it at #11, lol. That hole will have only a handful of birdies all week, geez

He's scrambling for sure. A tad rusty. Playing it conservative.
But the wheels haven't fallen off yet.

Yup .Conservative and smart --At #2 hit a 3-wood to take the bunker out of play off the tee. Leaving most approach shots below the hole. Pars at 10,11,12 are SOLID

par 5s 13, 15 coming up.

#15 is going to be fun. #13 gotta draw it, not a shot he's comfortable with off the tee.....hit 3-wood, sidehill lie approach over water comin'up :)

Watching Featured Groups on Masters.Org is so much better than the schmaltzy coverage on ESPN/CBS. No commercials. Just watching Tiger's group and a couple of extra golfers they feature.

Tiger has made some nice putts today. Seems like he is a little rusty but good touch on putter

Didn't take advantage of the Par 5's enough. Could be right in it. Lot of golf left
