Hes the greatest skilled athlete of all-time. Im not talking about who can run the 40 the fastest, are who can jump the highest. Im talking skill and dominance over his opponets.

Sorry, when you use the word athlete then everything comes into play. maybe you can say Tiger has the best hand to eye coordination or something. Tiger is simply not the best athlete of all time, not even close.

I know Railbird's got to be happy Tiger's out. Think of how much money he'll save over the rest of this year.:money8:

Beat me to it, but I said this would happen during the third round of the OPEN...I fully expect Tiger to take off running when he returns with a win in the 2009 MASTERS...you think he might chip and putt a little before he returns??

I'm sure those bets get voided then numbers adjusted, no?

hope not..it says "all golfers have action"

no new numbers have been reposted

5dimes hung the british open up much longer than the other books...their daytime linemakers were sleeping...they actually took tiger off the board and left the rest of them up

Tiger isn't any more athletic than John Daly throwing a shot put. Tiger is more in-shape and consistent with a golf swing.

Reading a green is one thing, keeping your putter head on the shaft is another.... if that makes sense.

granted the guy was a little nicked up , but he can really hollywood it up when he needs too... he knows millions of eyes ( yours included ) are glued to his every move , not to mention camera's everywhere .

what are you going to do for the next several months if he's not playing ?

have you got him a get well soon card yet ?
you know the funny thing is if you watch; when Tiger hit a wayward drive in the rough, he didn't grimace because he didn't want people to think he was blaming his knee on bad drives. When he striped one down the middle, that's when it was ok for him to let out the pain he was feeling on every shot he hit.
Maybe in part he did that to keep people like you from criticizing him, but damned if you do, and damned if you dont.

I actually saw it different. It appeared to me that whenever he hit a bad shot he would limp. Whenever he hit a big shot or made a big putt he was looking ok.

it was almost always off the tee, and he did stripe several down the center of the fairway where he grimaced (and he also did on some poor drives)... anyway, hard to really argue if it was genuine now given how fucked up his knee actually was.

I don't have nor did I have any doubt the guy was hurt. He played, he won, end of story.

Did you see the article where Retief Goosen stated he thought Tiger was faking it? What a douchebag. Tiger doesn't need to play hurt to kick the fields ass.

Golf is a sport.
Its as much of a sport as baseball and football.

I didn't say that. You claimed he was the best athlete ever in history. I stated that I didn't share that opinion and I stand by it.

I'm not a huge golf guy, but Tiger Woods is the best or second best athlete of all time in my opinion. I might rate Michael Jordan ahead of him right now, but I'm guessing Tiger will be at the top by the time he retires. People that say golf isn't a sport are just plain stupid. I've played pretty much every sport and am good at all of them except golf. It is by far the hardest sport to learn to play. If you have a sports mind and are physically fit hockey, basketball, football, baseball and soccer aren't that hard to get very good at. Golf is just a tougher sport to play in my opinion and he dominates everyone at it.

Also look at it this way. In team sports not only do you have other guys to help you out when you're off your game, but you also are only up against one other team at a time. Tiger wins tournaments against over 100 other golfers, and he won arguably the biggest tournament with a broken fucking leg.

The guy is simply a machine, and if people learned to stop hating greatness you would realize how lucky we are to be able to watch him play.

Also, just watch how low the PGA ratings get now. Not much casual fans will tune in with Tiger not playing.
