Rollins leadoff triple, but can't score. Team is pathetic manufacturing runs. Unless they hit a HR they usually don't score.

Feliz RBI single. 2-0 Phillies.

Burrell 2-2. He deserves to go to the All-Star game.

Contract year so you knew he was going to have a big year. Hamels is pitching well so far.

Ruiz is still horrible though. Coste should start pretty much every game.

His name has come up in Boston as a replacement for Ramirez and it makes me sick. I find it hard to believe he'll match or even be around the numbers he's going to put up this year over the course of a 4-5 year contract he'll ultimately get on the free agent market.

I don't see Manny leaving Boston. Still Burrell is only 31 and gives you around 30 and 100 each year. For being the #1 overall pick he hasn't turned out to be that MVP type of player, but you can't find those type of numbers from many players. Guy is a walk machine too. I wanted Burrell gone, but since the 2nd half of last year he has played great and I wouldn't mind if they resigned him.

Break down his numbers the last 162 games a full season he is hitting .287 43 HR and 117 RBI.

Manny only has team options left on his current deal.

It wouldn't shock me to see the Red Sox go in a different direction if this team fails to make the playoffs.

They might not pick up the option, but will work out a 3-4 year deal probably.

No way the Red Sox don't make the playoffs this year.

Dude is gonna have 45 HR's ( I must come correct and say he wouldnt hit 40 HR's this season about a month ago......) & hes gonna have 130 RBI's all while sporting a .225 batting avg.....crazyness......

I told you was going to come around. He will end up around .260 50 130.

.220 average right now, but hitting .333 with RISP which is where you want a high average.

Technically they could be in third place in the AL East by the end of this weekend. Realistically (they're up early tonight) that won't happen, but with Tampa not slowing down, the Yankees still plugging away, the Orioles (of all effing teams) still winning ballgames, and the Jays now playing half decent baseball, it's looking like a pre-2004 season where heart attacks will be a-plenty at Mass General come September.

When they get some of their players back and make a deal for some bullpen help they will end up back in 1st place.
