MLB | Dodgers vs Indians
Play on: Dodgers -125 at 5Dimes

(917) LA (Hill) over Cleveland (Tomlin) @ 12:10 Eastern

Getaway game for the hot Dodgers against inconsistent Indians. This is the earliest of starts for this interleague clash on Thursday afternoon. The Dodgers use lefty Hill (3-2, 2.97) against the Cleveland entry of Tomlin (3-8, 5.73). In Hill’s team starts of late, LA has gone a perfect 3-0, while the veteran threw a decent five innings last time out against Cincinnati allowing two hits and one run. RHP Tomlin for the Indians is 1-5 L6 team starts. Recently the White Sox wasted the hurler in 2-2/3 innings crushing for 9 hits and 4 runs. Against LHP this season Cleveland is 11-15, the Dodgers 30-16 versus RHP. Both clubs play well during the day with LA going 14-6, Cleveland 15-8. However, the Indians have been horrid against the interleague teams at 1-12 record. In closing, Cleveland with umpire Guccione calling balls and strikes in interleague action is 1-6, while LA has won six straight and now top the leaderboard in the NL West. Good Luck.

Chris Sale is 8-2 with a 2.97 ERA overall this year, 3-1 with a 3.63 ERA on the road this season and 3-0 his last 3 starts. Nick Pivetta is 1-3 with a 5.52 ERA overall this year and 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA at home this season. Boston is 11-3 in inter-league play this year where they are allowing only 4 runs per game. MLB | Royals vs Angels
Play on: Royals +119 at 5Dimes

10* FREE MLB PICK (Royals +119)

I'm going to take a shot here with the Royals as a dog in Thursday's series opener against the Angels. Kansas City just swept the Giants in a short 2-game set and have won 4 straight overall, outscoring their opponents in their last 4 games by a score of 35-12. The Royals have racked up 10 or more hits in 6 of their last 9 games. I see no reason they can't keep it going at the plate against Ricky Nolasco, who is 2-7 with a 4.31 ERA in 13 starts. The value here with KC and why this is only a free pick, is that the Royals will be sending out Matt Strahm to make his first career big league start. You never know what the nerves will do to a kid in this spot, but based off what we have seen the past two years out of the bullpen, there's reason to be optimistic. In his 44 innings as a reliever, he's posted a 2.86 ERA with an impressive 56 strikeouts. Give me the Royals +119!

MLB | Orioles vs White Sox
Play on: White Sox +103 at 5Dimes

I'm recommending a play on the White Sox with Holmberg over Tillman. Baltimore finally won a game after losing six in a row, but the Orioles still have lost 20 of their last 27 road games, including six of their last seven away games against left-handed starters. Chicago is in sort of a revenge spot because it's the only team that hasn't clobbered Chris Tillman this year. Tillman pitched five shutout innings against the White Sox on May 7 in his first start after coming off the disabled list, but since has allowed 27 earned runs on 42 hits in just 26 1/3 innings. The Orioles have lost Tillman's last four starts by a combined 31-9 score and he gave up nine runs in less than two innings his last outing on Saturday. David Holmberg gave the White Sox five solid innings in a 5-3 win at Cleveland last week. Chicago has won eight of their last 12 home games. We're recommending the White Sox on Thursday afternoon. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

MLB | Giants vs Rockies
Play on: Rockies -157 at 5Dimes

Giants vs Rockies Free Pick June 15, 2017.

The Giants have been terrible in 2017, and they head to Colorado Thursday to take on the division leading Rockies. This looks like a favorable matchup for the home team.

Jeff Hoffman will toe the rubber for the Rockies, and he's off to a hot start this season. Hoffman (4-0, 2.33 ERA) allowed one run on four hits while striking out eight over 6 1/3 innings in a win over the Cubs at Wrigley his last time out. He's struck out a whopping 34 batters in just 27 innings pitched in five appearances.

The Giants hand the ball to Matt Moore, who is 0-4 with a 7.94 ERA in seven starts on the road this season. He's 0-2 with a 10.24 ERA in two starts against the Rockies.

San Francisco's .236 team batting average is better than only the San Diego Padres, and only the Friars have scored fewer runs this season than the Giants.

Take COL.

MLB | Yankees vs A's
Play on: A's +103 at Bovada

Free Pick on A's +

This line is begging for you to take the Yankees and most are taking the bait. I believe the value here with the A's, who will be excited to return home after an awful 5-game trip out east to play the Rays and Marlins. As good as New York has been playing, they are just .500 (16-16) on the road and just droppe 2 of 3 in their last series against the Angels in LA. The big key here for me is that Oakland has the kind of starter going that can keep the Yankees' big bats in check. Sonny Gray takes the mound for the A's and this is a guy that when he's healthy

The big key here for me is that Oakland has the kind of starter going that can keep the Yankees' big bats in check. Sonny Gray takes the mound for the A's and this is a guy that when he's healthy an in form, is a legit Cy Young contender. He's been up and down this season, but is 2-0 with a 2.92 ERA and 1.013 WHIP in 4 home starts and has shown some good signs of late with 16 strikeouts in his last 13 innings of work.

New York will send out lefty Jordy Montgomery, who has been throwing the ball well of late, but I don't think he's someone you can trust on the road. A's have won 7 of 9 at home against a left-handed starter, while Montgomery is a mere 1-4 in this last 5 after a Quality Start in his previous outing. Take Oakland!

MLB | Mariners vs Twins
Play on: Twins -109 at BMaker

Jack's Free Pick Thursday: Minnesota Twins -109

The Minnesota Twins have lost two of three games in this series to the Seattle Mariners despite scoring a combined 27 runs in the three games. Now they should finally get some good starting pitching tonight, which will help them split this series.

Jose Berrios is 5-1 with a 2.84 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in six starts this season. He has struck out 39 batters in 38 innings and is the most talented starter on this Twins' roster. He will be facing the Mariners for the first time, so he'll have the element of surprise here.

Ariel Miranda has put up solid overall numbers, but he hasn't been very good away from home. Miranda has posted a 5.69 ERA and 1.485 WHIP in seven road starts this season, giving up 8 homers in 31 2/3 innings. He is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA in one career start against Minnesota.

Plays against any team (SEATTLE) - hot hitting team - batting .290 or better over their last 15 games, starting a pitcher who walked 5 or more hitters last outing are 30-9 (76.9%, +21 units) over the last five seasons. Minnesota is 6-1 in Berrios' last seven starts. Bet the Twins Thursday.

MLB | Rays vs Tigers
Play on: Rays +132 at betonline

Another plus money free winner yesterday today's game features the Tampa Bay Rays and the Detroit Tigers. Justin Verlander is a fade pitcher for me I just don't think he has the stuff anymore add to that Verlander had his start moved up and Cobb has had one extra day of rest all this leads me to really love the Rays here on the road. Only 25% of the public bets have gone on the road Rays and this line seems to be holding strong. I will back the Rays on the road for a nice 15* Dog winner.

GAME: Los Angeles Dodgers (41-25) at Cleveland Indians (31-31)
DATE/TIME: Thursday, June 15 - 12:10 PM EST
WHERE: Progressive Field, Cleveland, Ohio
LINE: N/A TOTAL: N/A

The Los Angeles Dodgers look to establish their longest winning streak of the year when they wrap up a three-game series at the Cleveland Indians on Thursday. The Dodgers have won six in a row for the second time in 2017 after taking the first two contests of the series, including Wednesday's 6-4 triumph.

The top pitching staff in baseball limited the Indians to two runs through the first eight innings of a 7-5 win Tuesday and it held the hosts scoreless through the first five frames Wednesday before hanging on in both games. Closer Kenley Jansen has helped rescue Los Angeles in the late innings with consecutive saves and dropped his ERA to 0.98, while Cleveland lefty Andrew Miller - who entered the series with a 0.29 ERA - has been charged with five runs in two relief appearances against the Dodgers. The Indians scratched leadoff hitter Jason Kipnis due to neck spasms prior to Wednesday's game but hope to have him back when they take on veteran southpaw Rich Hill. Cleveland, which is in danger of falling below .500 for the first time since April 17, gives the ball to Josh Tomlin.

TV: 12:10 p.m. ET, MLB Network, SportsNet LA (Los Angeles), STO (Cleveland)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Dodgers LH Rich Hill (3-2, 3.77 ERA) vs. Indians RH Josh Tomlin (3-8, 5.73)

Hill has yet to last beyond five innings in seven starts this year, but he limited Cincinnati to one run and two hits in five frames to pick up a win his last time out. Opponents are hitting .224 overall against Hill but he has walked 16 batters over his last four starts. The 37-year-old, who posted a 6.28 ERA in a career-high 63 games out of the bullpen for Cleveland in 2013, has thrown just 4 2/3 innings in his career against the Indians.

Tomlin has been very inconsistent in 2017 and followed up back-to-back solid outings with a clunker versus the Chicago White Sox on Saturday, failing to get through three frames for the third time. He gave up nine hits in that outing and opponents are batting .314 against the Texas Tech product, although he remains atop the major league leaderboard in strikeout-to-walk ratio (11.0) among qualified hurlers. The 32-year-old, who has not issued a walk over his last five starts, has never faced the Dodgers.

WALK-OFFS

1. Dodgers RF Yasiel Puig was suspended one game for making an obscene gesture at fans during Tuesday's game. Puig is appealing the suspension and was in the lineup Wednesday.

2. Cleveland is 1-9 in interleague play.

3. Indians 1B Carlos Santana is 1-for-23 over his last six games.

PREDICTION: Dodgers 5, Indians 4

GAME: Seattle Mariners (33-34) at Minnesota Twins (33-29)
DATE/TIME: Thursday, June 15 - 1:10 PM EST
WHERE: Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota
LINE: N/A TOTAL: N/A

The suddenly potent Seattle Mariners seek their 13th victory in 18 games when they conclude a four-game series against the host Minnesota Twins on Thursday afternoon. Seattle racked up 27 runs while winning two of the first three games of the set and has scored five or more in 11 of its last 12 victories.

Rookie Ben Gamel is 8-for-14 with six runs scored in the series while Mike Zunino is 6-for-13 with two homers, including a three-run shot in Wednesday's 6-4 victory. Robinson Cano has gone 5-for-10 over his last two games to raise his average 10 points to .291, and he has recorded five multi-hit performances for the Mariners this month. The Twins also have scored 27 runs in the series, but 20 of them came in Tuesday's victory as they recorded a franchise-record 28 hits. Miguel Sano went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday after a night of rest and is tied for third in the American League with 48 RBIs.

TV: 1:10 p.m. ET, MLB Network, ROOT (Seattle), FSN North (Minnesota)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Mariners LH Ariel Miranda (6-2, 3.67 ERA) vs. Twins RH Jose Berrios (5-1, 2.84)

Miranda has won five consecutive decisions and allowed just nine earned runs over his last six starts. The 28-year-old did not factor in the decision against Toronto in his last turn, when he gave up two runs and two hits over 6 1/3 innings. Miranda lost his lone career start against the Twins last season as he gave up three runs and three hits in four innings while serving up homers to Jorge Polanco and Sano.

Berrios has won back-to-back starts and given up fewer than three runs in four of his six turns this year. The 23-year-old struck out eight in 5 1/3 innings while defeating San Francisco in his last outing, when he yielded two runs and six hits. Berrios is just 1-6 with a 7.43 ERA in eight career starts at Target Field, with the victory coming this season when he struck out a career-best 11 and allowed two hits in 7 2/3 scoreless frames against Colorado.

WALK-OFFS

1. Seattle DH Nelson Cruz was hitless in four at-bats Wednesday after three straight two-hit efforts.

2. Minnesota 2B Brian Dozier went 0-for-5 on Wednesday to halt his eight-game hitting streak.

3. Zunino has gone deep twice in the series and is 9-for-23 with four blasts and nine RBIs in six games against the Twins this season.

GAME: Baltimore Orioles (32-32) at Chicago White Sox (28-36)
DATE/TIME: Thursday, June 15 - 2:10 PM EST
WHERE: Guaranteed Rate Field, Chicago, Illinois
LINE: N/A TOTAL: N/A

The Baltimore Orioles must have grown tired of having the scoreboard operator kept busy by the opposition, so much so that they decided to cross the plate a few times themselves. After being outscored 60-17 during their six-game losing streak, the Orioles look to build off an offensive explosion in their last contest as they vie for a split of their four-game series versus the host Chicago White Sox on Thursday afternoon.

Trey Mancini recorded three hits and scored as many runs in Wednesday's 10-6 victory to improve to 8-for-18 during his five-game hitting streak. The 25-year-old has clobbered Chicago this season to the tune of 11-for-19 with two homers and eight RBIs, a positive statistic for a Baltimore club that is just 10-22 in its last 32 games overall and 11-22 on the road. Matt Davidson has homered in all three contests of this series for the White Sox, giving him seven RBIs and three runs scored in that stretch. The 26-year-old is 2-for-3 in a small sample size versus Thursday starter Chris Tillman, who may have his confidence shaken after seeing his skid extend to four straight starts after a dismal outing at Yankee Stadium.

TV: 2:10 p.m. ET, MASN (Baltimore), CSN Chicago

PITCHING MATCHUP: Orioles RH Chris Tillman (1-4, 8.01 ERA) vs. White Sox LH David Holmberg (1-0, 2.74)

Tillman was shellacked in his last outing as he surrendered nine runs in 1 1/3 innings against the New York Yankees on Saturday. The 29-year-old surrendered three homers for the second time in three turns and saw his ERA skyrocket from 5.59 to 8.01 after the disastrous outing in the Bronx. Tillman pitched significantly better in his last start against Chicago, scattering three hits over five frames to pick up the win in Baltimore's 4-0 victory on May 7.

Holmberg recorded his first win in nearly two years on Saturday, allowing two runs and three hits in five innings of a 5-3 triumph at Cleveland. "We need to win some ballgames, so I'm happy. You want to get in, use all your pitches, and get out," the 25-year-old told reporters. Holmberg has been taken deep in back-to-back outings and has permitted six earned runs in 12 2/3 frames as a starter.

WALK-OFFS

1. Chicago RF Avisail Garcia is 12-for-28 with one homer, eight RBIs and seven runs scored during his seven-game hitting streak.

2. Baltimore 2B Jonathan Schoop is 17-for-49 with four homers, 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored this month.

3. White Sox 1B Jose Abreu is 7-for-13 with five runs scored in the series.

PREDICTION: Orioles 7, White Sox 3
