Golden Gate Fields - Race #3 - Post: 1:51pm - Maiden Claiming - 5.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $8,000 Class Rating: 67

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#6 BRIANA JEAN (ML=6/5)
#1 ITSONLYME (ML=8/1)

BRIANA JEAN - Another way to determine class is EPS (earnings per start). This thoroughbred has the highest in the group. I think she'll be close at the finish line. ITSONLYME - This conditioner has an ROI of +86 with horses 1st time out. First-timer has been working over this very track. I think that's a big plus in her favor. I know the outfit is serious today. The filly gets Lasix for the first time.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 CAT ONTHE FENCE (ML=2/1), #5 SILVER ICE (ML=6/1),

CAT ONTHE FENCE - Didn't hit the board on August 2nd at Santa Rosa. Followed it up with another less than stellar try. SILVER ICE - Trying to beat this horse today at the reward of 6/1.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - BRIANA JEAN - The 'hood' on and you can't bet wrong. This horse should be long gone.

STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Play #6 BRIANA JEAN to win if you can get odds of 6/5 or more

Charles Town - Race #1 - Post: 7:05pm - Maiden Special - 4.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $25,000 Class Rating: 45

#13 RETURN TO DENIS (ML=6/1)
#5 ANOTHER DESTINY (ML=12/1)

RETURN TO DENIS - It's a big plus that this 1st timer has been working over the same track that she makes her debut at today. A strong handicapping angle is first-time Lasix. Casey gives it to this one for this event. ANOTHER DESTINY - Last race was at Charles Town in a race with a class number of 55. Dropping a significant amount in class figure this time puts her in a solid position right here in this race. I look for a marked improvement right here in this race with the addition of Lasix for the second time.

Vulnerable Contenders: #6 GHOSTLY SIGHTING (ML=5/2), #2 PANCAKESNMILKSHAKE (ML=7/2), #8 RESIDENT NURSE (ML=5/1),

GHOSTLY SIGHTING - Pace makes the race. Tough for this early speedster to be able to handle the suicidal fractions from the rest of this group. This filly notched a speed figure in her last affair which likely isn't good enough in today's event. PANCAKESNMILKSHAKE - Hard to take this mount at these odds after the result (sixth) in the last affair. It looks like too much early speed is entered in this affair. This speed merchant will likely get baked at the front. RESIDENT NURSE - Doesn't seem to have enough positive aspects to warrant the value.

STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Bet on #13 RETURN TO DENIS to win if we can get at least 2/1 odds

RACE #3 - 2:01 PM

6½ FURLONGS DIRT THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD $25,000.00 CLAIMING $34,000.00 PURSE

#2 STAY TUNED
#1 DEPUTY BUSTERSTONE
#4 SPARTAN EMPEROR
#6 GOT WINGED

#2 STAY TUNED will enjoy a speed advantage on this claiming field today, takes a class drop (-8), and is the pace profile leader in this field sprinting at, or about, 6½ furlongs on the dirt, and has been a "POWER RUN PERFORMER" in each of his last five outings, hitting the board in four, including a "POWER RUN WIN" in his 5th race back. #1 DEPUTY BUSTERSTONE, a 4-1 shot, comes off a "POWER RUN BOARD HIT" in his last start.

DRF HARNESS

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

20-CENT PICK 5: 6,7/6,8/1,2,4/1,2,3,8/4,6

EARLY PICK 4: 1,2,3,8/4,6/1,3/2,3,5 = $54

LATE PICK 4: 2,4,5/3,4,7,8/1,4,5/5,6 = $72

MEET STATS: 37 - 121 / 181.80 BEST BETS: 5 - 10 / $15.20

SPOT PLAYS: 3 - 11 / 30.30

Best Bet: LAY LADY LAY (6th)

Spot Play: CLASSIC COMEDY (3rd)

Race 1

(7) C L ART MAGIC shoots for his 7th straight to stay unbeaten this year and the way he's been winning suggests he won't be beaten anytime soon in this class. (6) SOAKING UP THE SUN took a new life's mark in his 2nd start for Moreau and is the main danger - especially if he lands in the pocket early which is very possible. (4) VEGAS RICH has improved his closing speed in his past two starts and should pick up a piece of this.

Race 2

(6) ARNIE has improved in every start so far and looks poised for a winning effort here in just his 4th lifetime start. (8) COUNTRY PROPHET won by a pole in quick time over a half-miler down south and would be very tough if he repeats that effort. Trotting hopples seem to make a world of difference for him. (4) JAYPORT ON THE EDGE is the quintessential professional maiden and will likely get another smaller share here.

Race 3

(6) CLASSIC COMEDY has faced the same tough winner twice in a row and been too far back to make an impact. She knows how to win and could bounce back here at a square price. (1) TOP ROYAL would be my top pick if she hadn't missed almost a month's action. She fits based on her form but the break is a bit concerning. (4) KATIES BEACH looks like one of the best in here but her 1 for 19 record suggests she's been in this same position a few times and failed.

Race 4

(3) CAJON LIGHTNING powered home to a new life's mark last week - albeit in a slowing late pace. He can lay closer and move earlier here if needed; call to repeat. (1) READ THE PROPOSAL set a strong pace and was only passed late by the choice. He figures highly here especially if he can get a breather. (8) KONA KID has finished second twice straight to one that has won every start this year so far; toss this sharp gelding on your early pick 4 tickets.

Race 5

(6) STORMONT KATE takes another class drop and will try to take to take these coast-to-coast. (4) ZUKAV makes his third start of the year, drops in class and gets post relief. He could wake up at a nice price here. (2) CAL CHIPS BROTHER is still winless for the year but gets a check most of the time.

Race 6

(1) LAY LADY LAY broke her maiden impressively last time despite missing several weeks leading up to the race. She should be even better here coming back in a week. (3) LINWOOD BEACHGIRL closed decently into a quickening late pace in her debut and should go forward off that effort. (8) SPECIALCELEBRATION couldn't close late as the pace picked up last time. She needs to find more speed late to get the job done here.

Race 7

(2) MONEY MAVEN gets a big driver change tonight which could turn the trick in a race where he looks like a contender anyway. (3) R CHOOCHOO CHARLIE made his debut in a new barn a winning one last week and could double up even with the class rise. (5) AGGRESSIVE raced well from the 10-hole last time now gets the driver back that steered him to an easy win two back. He's dangerous.

Race 8

(2) ARRAVISTA HANOVER showed some improvement with Christoforou driving last time and she has been known to pop at a big price at this track; call to upset. (4) PUT YOUR BAD ON raced very well from the 10-hole last time and is obviously the one to beat. (5) NOONE TO DEPEND ON sat a good trip last week but couldn't close on the leaders. The winner of that race would likely blitz these. This filly should be competitive here.

Race 9

(7) J CS JAKE moves into Moreau's barn off the claim which as good a reason as any to give him top billing in this weak group. (8) JUSTCALLMERONALD stands a good chance of making the front or sitting a pocket trip here which makes him a contender. (3) GIRL DRAMA is the best closer but relies on a slowing of the pace to get there late. She's in with a shot but needs some luck.

Race 10

(4) CORSICA HALL raced okay against an opponent that hasn't lost this year and that mile came off a three-week break. Back quicker he should be driven more aggressively and can take this. (1) ELECTRIC WESTERN was unlucky last week when the pocket-sitter escaped and outsprinted him. He is a big threat here. (5) ANTAR PHIL moves into Puddy's barn off the claim which makes him dangerous and useable on pick 4 tickets.

Race 11

(5) RED HOT HILL is a 1/2 sister to Delightful Hill who has earned $200K in her first two seasons of racing and won her debut as a 2YO. This isn't the toughest spot; top call. (6) ACTIVE LADY made two moves last time and just about held on for the win. She's the one to beat. (7) MAXIM SEELSTER has been improving and showing the signs that a win is coming soon. (3) WARAWEE RAP makes her debut and could get a piece of this if she utilizes the good early speed that she has shown in her qualifiers. (2) BAD LIGHTNING may not have liked the off track last week and was also coming off a month long break then. She can improve here.

Yonkers: Thursday 10/22 Analysis
By Brewster Smith

DRF HARNESS

MEET STATS: 209 - 987 / $1,451.20 BEST BETS: 24 - 82 / $110.00

Best Bet: LITTLE MISS HENRY (12th)

Spot Play: BLADE SEELSTER (7th)

Race 1

(4) BAZILLION moves back inside where he was a very game second two trips ago; ready to move forward. (5) BIG BAD BOSSMAN is on a roll scoring his third straight victory; the main danger. (1) SWEET WATER JACK might fare well from the fence.

Race 2

(5) LITTLE MERMAID N 13-year-old miss is very fast out of the gate; was nailed for win honors last out; has every right to atone. (7) ALITTLEEASTERMAGIC flashed speed in her recent trip; post hurts but is capable. (2) BREWSKI could land a share from the 2-hole.

Race 3

This might be a better spot for (1) SADIES PLACE to put it all together; retains the rail slot and that may be to her advantage; we shall see. (2) M A REFLING gets serious post relief and was quite sharp for second money three starts back; threat. (4) HUSTLEONHOME Easy score in her latest; watch out again.

Race 4

(4) MY IDEAL HANOVER Pacing mare was very strong for the place spot to just miss by only a length a quarter; figures to move forward. (7) MY CAROLINE has been picking up checks; dangerous. (6) DEREK DELIGHT was sent by Brennan down the road for all the glory last out; must be considered despite the tough post.

Race 5

(2) MACHO CHICK showed signs of life in her last try; very capable of returning to her winning ways. (3) YOU LITTLE RASCAL has hit the board 11 of 30 starts this year; she has some speed and might be a factor with these. (5) BAD GIRL VEGAS Gets Sears and leaves the 8-hole; not out of this.

Race 6

(1) P L HAYMAKER Gelding moves to the rail slot and Sears has the assignment; ready to boss these at his best. (3) ROCKIN JIMMY got the job done via the pocket route last time around; solid. (8) SKYWAY GLADIATOR Meadows invader held on for the score last out; longshot factor.

Race 7

(4) BLADE SEELSTER was caught for the victory in his latest; he is 1 for 25 this year but fits well in this event; can take this. (7) DALLENBACH HANOVER had a two and a half length lead in the stretch drive and was caught near the wire last out; could make some noise again. (8) P L FIGHTER raced evenly in his last try; could grab a share of the purse.

Race 8

(2) INTOVIEW is clearly knocking at the door based on her last two trips to the post; has every right to be the boss with a fine-timed drive from Brennan. (3) LEAN ON YOURSELF Much better slot for this pacing filly to be a serious threat. (5) HOOSIER CHATTER was second best in her last start; might move forward.

Race 9

Will take a shot with (1) AMERITIME to get back into the swing of things and the rail slot can surely help her cause; we shall see. (6) BAD NIGHT MARE rallied strongly to nail down the victory last time out at 86-1; don't overlook. (3) CAMS MACHARENA put in two nice efforts in a row so that might be an indication she is knocking at the door; watch out.

Race 10

(2) INTREPID HALL Gelding did not fire in his last trip; the good news is he move inside where he has done his best running; threat at his best. (1) HOT RODDY has tactical speed and moves to the fence; main danger. (8) FITS Z TAM Late rally to get the job done last time out; capable despite the move to the 8-hole.

Race 11

(7) CLASSY LANE ROSE moves down the ladder; with a clean favorable trip, this pacing miss could get back into the winner's circle. (4) MARTY PARTY also on the dropdown and moves to the 4-hole; figures. (3) CHEYENNE MIRIAM had nothing from the eight slot last time out but should get back into the grove with a inside draw; very capable.

Race 12

(1) LITTLE MISS HENRY Sharp in her last three outings; Sears is back in the bike where he took this miss to the winner's circle two trips ago; the pick. (2) ELM GROVE INARUSH moves down in class and that should help her cause; main danger. (5) IMAGE OF FELICIA did not race badly in her initial start at Yonkers; has every right to move forward.

Jim Feist's Bonus Play for Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 8:35 PM

(61) FLORIDA PANTHERS VS (62) CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS

Take: UNDER

Reason: Your Bonus Play for Thursday, October 22, 2015 is in the NHL between Florida and Chicago. Both teams can play defense, with Florida third in the NHL in goals allowed. The Under is 7-2-4 in Panthers last 13 games playing on 1 days rest. Chicago can play any style, and is 10th in goals allowed and in penalty killing. Artem Anisimov and Teuvo Teravainen scored 1:05 apart late in the second period to break a scoreless tie, and the Blackhawks beat Columbus 4-1 on Saturday night. Coach Joel Quenneville has consistently preached a "D-first" philosophy as the Blackhawks have hoisted the Cup three times in the last six years. Chicago is 36-10-8 under the total against the Eastern Conference and on a 10-1-1 run under the total. And when these teams clash the under is 15-5-2. Play Florida/Chicago Under the total.
