I am dying to take UCLA, but they haven't exactly been money-makers this year.. They remind me of the Buffalo Bulls..Wait and see what I can get them at..maybe

I'm certainly no expert and I sure wasnt 'invited' here - but I am suprised not to see more talk about Cal/UCLA here. Is Cal -1 not free money? How can anyone make the case that UCLA can play with with Cal. The only reasoning I've seen so far is that people are going against what they think the public will be on - and that UCLA will have one last stand. Those dont hold water against the facts. Do they?

FU(K!!!!!!!!!! Dam you TRYING TO TEABAG!!! Why the phuck did you have to pick California tonight! I've allready Unloaded a $hit load of money on them. Now you have to go and jinx me. Looks like I'll have to find another game to hammer, just to break even. I'm thinking......Stanford.

One NBA game I like today is:

Spurs +3 1/2

Boston +8

The Celts have covered 5 of their last 6, and the offense is clicking. They've averaged 22 assists over the last six games. Pierce is becoming even more of a complete player, drawing the defense and finding the open man. The Celts will get open looks.

Peja has been great in Webber's absence, but Boston's 3-point FG% defense has been 22% over this road trip. Without Webber and Pollard, the Kings won't be able to dominate the boards, which would give them their best chance to cover. If Boston had a better inside game, I would take this on the ML.

Also, Boston is one of only 2 Eastern teams with a .500 or better road record, and are 4-0 ATS in road games with a total over 200.

They're also: 21-10 ATS on one day of rest.
------------- 8-2 after scoring 105 or more.
------------- 12-5 non-conference.
------------- 15-10 aganst teams over .500

Sacramento: 10-15 vs, teams over .500.
----------- 5-10 non-conference.

Good luck,
Space.

Bucsfan - don't let one guy ruin it for you. You give them credibility when you respond back to them. I have one that bothers me with his ways here but I won't let it beat me.

I think you know what the hell you are doing and would be a good addition but we will understand either way. I think enough of your opinion to go find it wherever you post but the BIG BOYS post here in the RR.

Hope you reconsider.....

I came here to help the posters win for free but after my *50 unit plays started winning they BEGGED me to sell my plays to them..... - Dogball/2002

PS - I wouldn't bet California tonight with my wife's money.

Not saying they won't win and cover but I don't like that play at all.

Still would like to hear the rational reasoning for someone picking UCLA and I haven't heard it.

Is there any?

My thoughts again are this:

Cal beat them before
Cal is a better team
UCLA doesnt match up with CAL
Cal needs it UCLA doesnt
UCLA hasn't won in weeks

None of these facts on their own mean a sure victory for Cal (if there is such a thing as a sure victory before the game happens) but put together they are at least a start at a reason to take Cal.

The only start at a reason people have taken UCLA is because its a pride game - they'll win one for the coach, they are at home and they are due to bounce back.

I know these are mostly intangibles but the facts are facts. Cal has performed better on paper and nothing I see shows cal will let down here.

Thanks for the input either way

Jaypaw,

You may very well win you cal bet an judging from how much you have been touting it you probably have a fair amount of money it so as I posted before I hope Cal wins by 3. But I wonder with all the posting if you are still trying to talk yourself into the bet?

JW - I have not been touting it. Maybe I made some cracks but for every crack I made about Cal winning there is a time that I asked the question about why anyone would take UCLA.

I dont need any convincing I am just looking for someone to stand up and give me some good reasoning or just even a ray of hope for UCLA.

If this line was set to make people like me go "what the..." and cash in for the night then it sounds good to me. If someone, anyone has any other explanation for it then I simply would like to hear it.

Good luck to all

thanks patrick, i just hate all his name calling and cussing for no reason and belittling people...i just dont think that is what this forum is for.....and of course now he is here in this thread too....

hope u checked out my picks in hoops section, 3-0 so far tonight.....

GO HOOSIERS GO....GO PACERS GO.....

two nhl picks for friday.

wont be around until friday evening, so i decided to post them now.

sabres -.5 <+110>

the home team won last 8 hth meetings.
kings only 2-9 ats on 0 drest.
they played @ Flyers tonight and teams playing without rest after playing @ Philly are 1-7 ats this season.
buffalo won last two home games against the habs and against new york.

islanders +.5 <-130>

colorado only 1-4 ats without rest.

both teams hot lately, both su and ats, and thats the reason i will take the half puck. otherwise, i would go with the moneyline.

islanders 10-3 in last 13 home games, outscoring the opponents 18:8 in last 4 at home.

avalanche playing in that very taugh spot which is playing with no rest after playing against the pens. 1-13 ats this season, with ottawa beating the oilers the other night being the only win for teams in this spot.

road teams are 0-12 ats in this spot this season.

i will probably add a couple of nba plays if i find some time during the day tomorrow.

good luck guys and thanks.

Bucsfan- We go back to football season where we had a lot of fun and you had a lot of winners. Hopefully you'll respect this request. Whether you post here or in another room let's keep away from posting records in this thread. Like Irish said the Big Dogs play here but it's your choice as to where you post. No one person makes decisions here and if a majority wants anything changed it will be changed. I really would hate for this to turn into offshore. I'm thinking about starting another thread tomorrow, " what's right or wrong in the Teams RR picks thread, " where complaints can be registered.
P.S. I just wanted to add that I'm not trying to jump on you but I did get all over another guy when he said he went 5-0 in another room.
