I don't know that the Giants O line is that dinged up - at least I havent seen any press on it and looking at the depth charts I see they have listed Petitgout, Bober, Hopkins, and Allen. Are these guys their regulars ? Has this changed much from last year?
I did hear that Strahan was probably not gonna play, which might give Faulk some room to run.
Finally - I think that in reading through all thats out there I get the uneasy feeling that Fassel just isnt too concerned about winning here. Belechek isnt 100% concerned with it but Fassel is giving off wuss vibes that I dont hear coming from Belechek.
I think that there hasnt been too much press on the status of the new defensive sets they are planning on using. This could be good news because Belecheck likes to keep stuff low key - even when they one the big one he was still like "yeah they did well...", I think that the defense if gonna come out on a tear and if they can keep their focus and keep the mistakes down I would bet that The Giants may be suprised. I noticed Fassel said that he wasn't gonna go out there and put out all this trickery - that he wanted to just let them play ball. Trickery is Belecheks middle name - so I won't be suprised to see him pull all kinds of junk plays on both sides of the ball. If I remember correctly I think last year they did like 2 or 3 reverse passes in PRESEASON.
Just some thoughts. I'm leaning pats but I'm not willing to put my money on it. There are too many loose ends - on both sides. Watch and learn.
