General,

I hope so. The listing have been wrong before. Channel 8 is showing Paid Programming, and WXIN 59 is showing Rocky. Oh well it isnt the end of the world. I guess I will just watch Florida vs. Atlanta and keep an eye on scores.

The best money I've ever spent in my life was for a DirecTV system and the NFL package - all games available, a dream come true. They're also showing a small number of select games in high definition if you have that capability AND the additional HDTV channel package at $10.99 per month - the pictures are just great. Shit, for the price you pay for two to go to a local game (tix, parking, food, beer,DUI ticket), you could buy the NFL pkg and have money left over to apply to your bail.

How anyone wagers and doesn't have Directv is beyond me, for the NFL it is essential. Local TV coverage is an absolute joke!

One thing was cool though before i got the dish, in Bloomington, Ilinois they got 2 CBS stations on their cable system, one from Peoria and the other from Champaign, on some occations they would each have a different game on.

"Muncie is a shithole dump of a no place town."

Call me an arrogant prick, but this is why I can ONLY live in a major city. By extension, ALL aspects of one's life are limited in small towns/rinky dink cities, not just sports.

I agree that DirectTV is a must. I bought one the the big ten foot dishes over ten years ago to watch the games before DirectTV became popular. Then when DirectTV started I added that. Then they allowed splitters on DirectTV so that you could have two recs from one dish so that I was watching up to 4 or 5 games at once depending on if the local station had one or two games. I moved a couple of years ago and didn't take the 10 foot dish but I'm still watching 3 or 4 games at a time flipping channels. The Monday night game seems so slow after watching 3 or 4 at a time on Sundays.
