On the contrary, I fully support Russia getting involved in any and all endless quagmires around the world, and wish Obama had the sack to unilaterally withdraw from all of them, except for any UN Peace keeping Force that we would be a part of.

It's funny watching this anti-war nutjob always jerking off to the UN. All the UN does is keep dragging the "world's policeman" into conflicts (Bosnia, Iraq) it has no business in which only erodes US credibility and wastes resources.
Without the UN, Saddam would have been disposed after he steamrolled into Kuwait, Clinton wouldn't have bombed him for a decade and imposed sanctions on the Iraqi people, and Bush (or another future president) wouldn't have had to finish off what Papa "New World Order" Bush started.

As I said, I'm not a fan of the UN. I'd rather take direction from Idi Amin. It has nothing to do with being "part of the world" or not being the "policemen of the world". I'm not motivated by having everyone, or in this instance the world, like me. I guess some people are.

The negative effects that occur when the US leaves a vacuum are harder to see, but in my view have a more deleterious effect. Isolationism doesn't work. Especially when it results in dictators and terror groups gaining control of nations and large swaths of territory. Are there any countries in the world run by dictators or jihadis with control of the press and media where the people they rule DON'T hate America?
