I guess you never played college sports. I did and I've seen letdowns at every level, so really, you're comment is a little off-base. (posted by tmader7)

How does the assertion that you played or sat the bench for a terrible program that went 7-26 in those three years make you an expert on the mind set of college athletes? During your three years when did the football team ever play in a meaningful game or have the chance for a let down spot? I may never have played D-1, but I did play hockey at a high level for years & did actually play on teams that won a couple of championships. How is my experience any different than yours except for the fact that I actually was in position for a letdown on a few occasions? Wisconsin might lose, but it won't be because they can't get up for the National Championship game in front of millions of people on prime time TV with a chance to give Wisconsin their first title in 74 years.

It is a let down spot, it doesn't matter that this a championship game.

A strong case for a letdown is they beat just beat a 38-0 team and fans acted like they won the title (I'm sure players were on a super skyhigh emotionally as well)

A case that there is no letdown is they've had a day off in-between with a once in a lifetime chance to win a ncaa championship and give Wisconsin their first title in many decades..

Tough to decide based on those scenarios although ex post facto one of those will probably be argued to try and verify.

yes, the fans, understandably partied like it was 1999...the players , from what ive read, and seen, have higher aspirations..

is it possible that the youth of duke too may have peaked after sending izzo packing?

listen guys, after wisconsin watched the nd tape, i can guarentee, to a man, every dude in that room knew that kentucky could be got...this isnt a team that just murdered every team like 91 unlv...they were in many close games this year kentucky was

could not agree more...okafors lack of mobility changes the game plan tonight..dukes defense, all man has been air tight...tonight, they have to play zone against 5 guys who can shoot

Okafor's lack of mobility ... what games have you you been watching? If you were starting a team tomorrow who would you take Kaminsky or Okafor?

IDIOT...I was responding to both you and potraker, who I've dubbed pothead, but you're too stupid to figure that out. Done with you fool.

Didn't think you'd respond to the substance of my post ... especially, the posting while your mother was supposedly hospitalized. I may be the stupid one .... infinitely better than being a phony who couldn't win if he had tomorrow's newspaper. Would love to be able to look up your playing career at Vandy. Maybe, you could give me T. Boone's number and he could verify.

you really seem to be struggling with this whole one game idea tonight..hopefully, k stays in man, and i get see just how quick okafor is guarding kaminsky 24 feet from the basket

i can not stress this enough: i am not starting a team tomorrow , i am betting the badgers tonight

Unless I read it wrong Duke shot 65% from the field to beat Wisconsin last time out. Can't see that happening tonight

I cashed my biggest bet of the year. As to the point I made in this thread ... Duke is the better team, now, and just like when they beat Wisconsin, in December, at Madison. Keep chasing that parlay thing ... call your book as I'm sure they'll send a limo for you next time you're ready to give it another go. Still waiting for that fictitious Vandy team picture to be posted.

Thanks TM. Looking back there was one thing I did forget to add when I started this post. Coach K-advantage DUKE. Coach K is a class act.
A couple of things stood out.

DUKE was the Aggressor and that usually comes out as the winning team.
Also, not sure but it looks like Wisc. got beat down by Kentucky and had nothing left in the tank and Decker picked the wrong time to have a very bad outside shooting night.

Congrats DUKE backers, they earned it! and I am just happy KENTUCKY did not win it all. They showed their true colors in this tourney ( no class )

Shucks, does this mean there won't be any sharing of that non existent Vandy team photo?? Can't wait for more of your fiction ... it flows like lava.
