Another thing, from what I've heard about Kim Bassinger is she's not all there either. This kid should sue for a Million and divorce her parents. Then stay with other family.
Pretty old movie like that with Drew Barrymore. Irreconcilable Differences? She wants to divorce her parents.

Mr. Belding: Screech, You can't elope!!!

Screech: Don't call me a cantelope, you watermelon!!!

God, I used to love Saved by the Bell.

I thought the cantelope comment was a "True Romance" reference. The part with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken.

Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ap

I'm not saying he should have called her names but in my opinion it might not be nowhere near as bad as the media will make this out...11-12 year olds are very spoiled these days, for the most part.

I have mixed feelings on this one, obviously the name calling was way overboard but this was probably blown way out of proportion, I think Baldwin is probably a very good father...passionate about his kid, he just had a meltdown , it happens.

FUCK YEA THEY ARE! Those ungrateful lil pigs.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a 1, 2, or 3 time thing. No fucken way anyone would get this pissed over this shit unless this happens every time.

I agree. It just seems like he's frustrated with the whole situation. It was WRONG what he said to his daughter, but the fact that Kim Bassinger is not making sure the kid answers the phone compliant to what the court demands and then leaks this voice mail out to the press, gives you an idea of what's going on. I'm sure she's poisoned her daughter's mind against her father.

He's probably a good father

Not to sound old school here - but the guy doesn't need to work another day and can live like a king. A good father is not someone who sends checks and visits on holidays when they could actually live nearby and actual share moments and be a mentor.

Things my dad called me

Retard, Bastard, animal, piece of shit..anything you can think of, he called me that.

Besides giving you weird flashbacks when you watched Breakfast Club, did this form of parenting shape you to be a better person...if so, how?

If he cared about her upbringing - he'd live near her and resume his career when she moves to school at 17-18.

Whether his ex is a nut or not -- the fact is the guy comes across as being a prick. Leaving a message for a 12 year old calling her brainless and a pig must be some new form of coercive parenting that the PETA crowd is tweaking.

How does anyone know what kind of living arraingement/ custody thing they have going? You can't base it on the fact he lives in another state, he may visit the child all the time for all we know....

He doesn't sound like a guy who's going off for the hell of it, he sounds like a dad who isn't getting the appreciation he probably deserves...kids can be brutal ....when you're in a split family situation and share a child, it can be a giant headache and the dad usually gets shit on even when he busts his ass for his kid....I can understand where he MAY be coming from.

If I ever called my kid a pig though, wow, I would have to re-evaluate myself...anyone can have a meltdown though, 99.99% don't have it played for the entire world to hear, that is the difference.

I can relate though, if my daughter appears to not be appreciative I will tell her, kids these days don't appreciate things enough.

agree with a few here about the pig comment .

and i'm sure it is the only word on the message he would take back .

their isnt a reason in the world that a kid could have for not calling their father back within 10 hours .

i dont have a problem with the message at all.

quite honestly respecting your parents is the easiest thing in the world to do.

when that kid is 30 and has a child of her own she will understand what a huge mistake she made.

Yes it was from True Romance , Heres the exact scene ... BTW , Nice pickup Fat Tony ...

Clifford Worley: So you see, way back then, uh, Sicilians were like, uh, wops from Northern Italy. Ah, they all had blonde hair and blue eyes, but, uh, well, then the Moors moved in there, and uh, well, they changed the whole country. They did so much fuckin' with Sicilian women, huh? That they changed the whole bloodline forever. That's why blonde hair and blue eyes became black hair and dark skin. You know, it's absolutely amazing to me to think that to this day, hundreds of years later, that, uh, that Sicilians still carry that ****** gene. Now this...
[Coccotti busts out laughing]
Clifford Worley: No, I'm, no, I'm quoting... history. It's written. It's a fact, it's written.
Coccotti: [Laughing] I love this guy.
Clifford Worley: Your ancestors are niggers. Uh-huh.
[Starts laughing, too]
Clifford Worley: Hey. Yeah. And, and your great-great-great-great grandmother fucked a ******, ho, ho, yeah, and she had a half-****** kid... now, if that's a fact, tell me, am I lying? 'Cause you, you're part eggplant.
[All laugh]
Cocotti : And Your a Cantelope
( Shoots him in the face )

It all makes sense now

Alec Baldwin explains himself on the Web By SANDY COHEN, AP Entertainment Writer
6 minutes ago

LOS ANGELES - As Alec Baldwin's angry words to his daughter were being broadcast around the world, the 49-year-old actor explained himself Friday on his Web site.

"Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child," he wrote. "I'm sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now. You have to go through this to understand. (Although I hope you never do.) I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case."

A voicemail Baldwin left for his 11-year-old daughter, in which he can be heard calling her "a rude, thoughtless little pig," was published Thursday by celebrity news site TMZ.com.

Baldwin and his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, have been engaged in bitter custody disputes over their daughter, Ireland, since the couple divorced in 2002.

"In such public cases, your opponents attempt to take a picture of you on your worst day and insist that this is who you are as a person," Baldwin wrote. "Outside the doors of divorce court, I have friends, I have respect from people I work with and I have a normal relationship with my daughter. All of that is threatened whenever one enters a court room."

Meanwhile, Baldwin's attorney, Vicki Greene, said she filed a Superior Court order Friday "to determine how the tape got leaked and to determine whether actions should be taken against Kim Basinger, or her attorneys, or Harvey Levin (who runs TMZ.com) and anybody else associated with the leaking of the tape and the violation of the court orders to keep the proceedings closed."

In a letter Greene sent to Levin Thursday included in the court order, the attorney said she called Levin at 12:30 p.m. that day after learning he intended to go public with the tape.

"I cautioned you against taking any action, especially when what you disclosed to me could only have been obtained from an improper source, was sealed by the Court and should not be in your possession, let alone disclosed to the public," she said in the letter.

Levin told The Associated Press on Friday that he obtained the tape legally.

"I'm not going to talk about sources. I'm not going to say who we obtained it from," he said. "We obtained this legally. We discussed it, and felt it was an important story, and published it. If she disagrees, that's her opinion."

Greene told TV's "The Insider" that "anyone involved in this case should want to protect Ireland, so whatever happened was either intentional, reckless or negligent."

The matter is set for a hearing June 5, Greene said.

Basinger's attorney, Neal Hersh, weighed in on the family saga Friday on TMZ.com.

"I am concerned that Mr. Baldwin's recent statement, wherein he attempts to shift responsibility to Kim and her lawyers for his issues with Ireland, shows just how out of touch he is with the reality and gravity of the situation," Hersh said.

Basinger's spokeswoman had no comment Friday.

I'm not surprised, you can just tell the man cares and has been thru a bunch of bullshit...I'm telling ya, it will drive a guy iunsane if he lets it get to him...

The law screws the man in these situations, it can be brutal ....I am in a good situation and it's still very difficult knowing you can only see your kid at certain times, there's something very unnatural about it and if you've never been in that situation you won't understand.
