No question I've seen Sic Bo in a lot of places as it's a house's cash cow. Muny it's not a regular beat regardless of how much you "learn and earn" UNLESS you play Small vs Big:

Sic Bo is a dice game of Asian origin. The name means "two dice" or "dice pair" and refers to the some of the higher paying bets that a player can place. In fact the game uses three 6-sided dice and a variety of betting options are available as marked on the Sic Bo table, all based on predictions of what dice combinations the throw will yield.
Objective

Players place their bets on the Sic Bo table, predicting various outcomes, totals and combinations of the three dice. Multiple bets can be placed and they pay off according to the odds indicated on the table.

Betting and the odds

There are seven different types of bets in Sic Bo:

Dice Face: players may bet that any one of the six dice sides will show. If that number comes up on any one of the dice, the player wins even money. If two of the dice show the selected face, the bet is paid off at 2-to-1. And if all three dice show the same face, the bet is paid at 3-to-1. The house edge on this bet is approximately 8%.

Two Faces: this is a bet that a combination of two particular numbers will appear. If the player bets, for example, that a 1 and a 6 will appear and it does, the house pays off at 5:1. The house advantage here is about 17%.

Totals: players can wager on the total of all three dice. The player selects a specific total from 4 to 17. Since the combination of faces that can result in the selected total varies, so too does the payoff (see chart). The chart gives the corresponding house advantage on that particular totals bet.

Total Payout House
4 or 17 60:1 29.1%
5 or 16 18:1 47.2%
6 or 15 14:1 30.5%
7 or 14 12:1 9.7%
8 or 13 8:1 12.5%
9 or 12 6:1 18.9%
10 or 11 6:1 12.5%

Small or Big: this wager is a bet that the total of the three dice will fall in a specific range. A bet on "Small" is on the total being between 4 and 10. A bet on "Big" is on the dice totaling between 11 and 17. But see the small print that says "Lose on any triple"? If any three-of-a-kind comes up, the house takes your wager. Still, the odds of winning Small or Big are by far the best on the table. Here the house holds about a 3% edge.

Triple: Here you're betting that all three faces will come up with a specific number. The payoff is large, 150:1, but for good reason. The chances are 215:1 against you, giving the casino a 30% advantage.

Any Triple: You're betting that all three faces will be the same. This pays out at 24:1, but the true odds are 35:1. Again, you're fighting a 30% house advantage.

Any Pair: Betting that a pair of any particular number will come up pays 8:1. Believe it or not on this bet is one of the worst on the table. The house holds a 33% advantage.

Payoff

Payoffs in Sic Bo are marked right on the table and vary according to the type of bet you place.

Strategy

Because Sic Bo is a game of chance, the best strategy is to stick with the best odds. Looking back over the numbers you'll see that the house edge on Small and Big bets is a fairly reasonable 3%. If you're going to play smart, that's your bet. If you feel lucky, the table is yours.

I play that game when I want a break from playing craps I got to the Sic Bo table to see if I can pass a few minutes.

I like to play the OVER/UNDER, I like to go with the over, hope for a couple of 6s.

It is very stupid, where everybody has their cash down and the dice are in the tube bouncing around and when they stop the table lights up and the dealer pays what wins. I hate it when you have don't have a personal area where you are to put you bet down because that sometimes leads to arguments as to who placed the bet.

Try the Royal Ascot horse racing, I'm sure that game has a bigger advantage. Go with Mean Missy & Mikes a Dancer. It's always fun to see people cheering on an electronic horse race!

There's a reason why it is called Sic Bo.. And that is ONLY because sick people play this game. This is a very sick game, and no one stands a chance to beat it. This game makes roulette look like a cash cow for the player. I'd rather play into a roulette table with 5 green zeros than play into this crap...

Ya had me worried for a sec Muny!

That's alright I think over the last few weeks I have a better chance playing Sic Bo than playing my picks (that goes for all sports).

In Vegas I think you can find Sic Bo at the Imperial Palace and Riviera. Sic Bo, Keno and the game with the big wheel where you place a bet on whether the 1,5,10 or 20 come in have to be the games with the biggest house edge.

why should it be illegal?

if people didn't play the game - casinos would get rid of it - right?

as long as people are dumb enough to play it - why should casinos get rid of it? they make a KILLING on it - which helps their profit. if people are too stupid to know they are getting royally f****d by playing this game - they deserve to lose as mush as they do playing it.

NO ONE is putting a gun to their heads - making them play - right?

if no one played this game - or casinos lost money on it - they'd dump it in a nanosecond - but people play it, so....

same thing goes with what vegas is pulling with blackjack - with some casinos now paying a BJ off @ 6-5 instead of 3-2. if people are too naive or stupid to know they should avoid playing any table that pays 6-5 instead of 3-2 the players deserve to get ripped off. i will be in vegas for t-giving and i can PROMISE you if i go to a casino that pays 6-5 there is NO CHANCE IN HELL i will play BJ there. if enough people did the same - the casinos paying 6-5 would be forced to go back to 3-2 but as long as lunkheads play 6-5 not caring - the casinos are 100% correct in bending over the people are f*****g them in the ass w/o any lubrication.

sorry - but i 100% disagree with what you said about Sic-Bo. if people want to play it - they should be allowed to do so. just don't come crying to me when you lose all of your money in about 30 minutes people who play this game.

winky, this is illegal because they are mocking people. It's like telling someone to send you 1000 bucks for picks knowing those picks are shit anyways. They are leading the people on with those fake odds. There is no difference between what the casino is doing here, or telemarketing scams. Both will lose all their cash, and the casino knows this too. They should not be allowed to have games with 30% holds. There should be a maximum of 4% by law. I don't like this at all.

i don't dispute 1 sinlge thing you wrote here - NONE! but its not illegal to mock people nor is it illegal to charge people for picks - even ones you know are crap. is it ethical? NO! but illegal? NO! this falls under the heading of "a fool and their money are soon parted." i don't like this, either - but the way to strike back at the casinos is by NOT playing it. as long as people play it - the casinos are 100% right to offer it. again - if people stopped playing this game - the casinos would either get rid of it - or change it so the players had a better chance of winning. all i am saying is as long as people continue to play it - why should the casinos change a thing?

How about this. For every dollar they bet pn sic-bo, the customers will have to play an equal amount on KENO! That game is in every vegas casino andthe hold is just as high, do you feel sorry for the poor KENO patrons, Sick?
I don't think so.
