In addition to that what about just luck over the course of 4-7 games. One team can hit the ball hard and it just goes right at the fielders and the other teams bloopers can find holes for 4 straight games.

Heck the Phillies won 19-2 or something last week, there were like 5 straight bloop hits in the same inning when they broke it open. Guy pitched great and gave up like 5 runs that inning.

The playoff format needs to be changed

It’s not easy taking a whole week off in baseball

If Braves don’t come back the top 3 teams in wins will be knocked out in the divisional round .
Not only knocked off . But a combined record of 1-9
These numbers are too big to ignore

The sample size is still pretty small but that would be 2 out of 2 years under this format

Today it’s the Phillies turn to have a bullpen game against one of the Braves top 2 starters

Pull that off and we will have a ACE vs ACE game 5 at home

Philly has some hungry guys on their team solid bunch. Harper is just a beast. Love the guys grit and fight and I don’t care what team I love to see those superstars show up in a big game it’s good for the sport. However chop chop Braves close this thing out.

As a Phillies fan, this new format has helped us immensely. The only team it helped with rest are the damn Cheating Astros!! I'm worried if the Braves win and it goes back to Atlanta....but with Wheeler focused, I'm not scared. Strider owns the Phillies and we got lucky in Game 1. I was at last nights game and there is nothing like Bedlam at the Bank! The Bank will be rockin tonight!

I tend to agree. Taking all these days off isn't baseball. MLB seems to be the only sport that gets cute with their post season. It is silly.

I think it's because of betting lol. They added extra WC teams for extra games to be played so the season can stretch out more and more games to bet. That's just me.
