I know the system does not allow for this, but:

If you are playing Kentucky tomorrow because of the system, I would advise to play it smaller than the other games. I think it is too close in numbers.

Also, from my experience in capping UK (29-3 record) ... I would advise to play them small. It could be a rough game for them.

Just my opinion.

If the system didn't have KY as a play would you still lean to them?

I probably wouldn't touch this game.

Kentucky's offense is terrible and they just lost Randall Cobb for the bowl game.
He was the only person who could make any plays. They are leaning on WR's who can't run correct routes (still at the end of the season). They are mostly Freshman.

ECU will stack the line and make UK throw it. Hartline likes to throw 2 yard passes and let the WR's make plays. Problem is ... we don't have playmakers. Dicky Lyons and Randall Cobb were the playmakers.

ECU started off hot, but cooled off.

I could see this as a true 50/50 game.

if you followed ECU this year they do not suck...Pinkney has experience...they just got in a funk late in the season after to get off to a great start beating VT and WVU...and look at their losses 3 were to bowl teams (NC STATE, Houston and SOuthern Miss, the 4th being to Virginia...you cannot look at their schedule and say that they suck...I see ECU winning this one fairly easily behind the play of Pinkney in his last game as a Pirate...With Cobb out it should help the Pirates case

Very nice job JB, congrats! I'd have to agree with your cautions on betting much on Kentucky tomorrow, particularly after reading this on the ESPN site:
(Another late-season injury to freshman speedster quarterback Randall Cobb means Mike Hartline has regained the starting job he lost eight games in.) I don't know how much this figures in to your system selecting process but I guess it's at least reflected in the point spread. Anyway , Thanks for your good work and Good Luck the rest of the season! Cheers!!:toast::drink:

jbragg, was reading your comments on Kentucky and obviously you follow the team pretty closely. With the UK shortcommings that you mentioned, don't you think that was partly (or largely) due to the level of competition they were facing the the SEC? Big step down in class here. I was wandering, do you have any6 feel for how the team is treating this bowl? I would think they would be happy to be at a bowl game and would be focused.

UK will be ready. Remember they have beaten FSU and Clemson in the last 2 bowls they were in.

Brooks does a great job in bowls

Can you please explain to me why these two games were plays:

Notre Dame (58, 36 SOS) over Hawaii (82, 72 SOS) -

South Florida (49, 59 SOS) over Memphis (100, 117 SOS)

Hawaii and Memphis werent in the top 60 sagarain ratings and South Florida and ND didnt have SOS ratings lower than 60.

I am just trying to understand all the plays

I am just trying to understand all the plays

1. Notre Dame is in the top 60 of the sagarin ratings. They are playing a team whose SOS is above 60. Makes ND a play.

2. South Florida is in the top 60 of the sagarin ratings. They are playing a team whose SOS is above 60. Makes SF a play.

Just one clarrification needed

1. Notre Dame is in the top 60 of the sagarin ratings. They are playing a team whose SOS is above 60. Makes ND a play.

2. South Florida is in the top 60 of the sagarin ratings. They are playing a team whose SOS is above 60. Makes SF a play.

jb,

I know you've been patient and answered a number of questions on this winning system, but I'm still confused on the "playing a team whose SOS is above 60." Hawaii's SOS was 72 and Memphis had an SOS of 117, but they were still plays. Could you please clear this up for me? I appreciate your help and continued success.

Thank you,
Joe
