i dont know how this is even a thread fights and arrests happen at every school. You know how easy a fight is to get into a decent sized campus just get 3-5 guys who arnt bring any girls home and you can get someone make a comment and boom. Not to mention if one gets too drunk theres another way. If they cover it up fine and if they dont fine. This doesnt matter at all.
Is a school going to be tarnished because an athlete gets into a fight for backing up a friend or because some no talent assclown try's egging him on because he plays on saturday on ABC

I am 100% sure you are not the dad who's son got beaten unconscious in the report. A PSU player walked into an apartment (where a student lived,) cold cocked the guy, beat him more when he was unconscious then let out a big whoop as if he had just sacked a QB. Most every kid does that kind of thing. Boys will be boys.

What are you complaining about anyway? He got off with nothing. The AD made sure of it. Paterno even kept him on the team.

What's this all about? Some kind of witch hunt?

HAHA it is laughable how uninformed you are....

you believe those guys on OTL, those kids? are you kidding me? knocked unconscious? the kid who went to the hospital, was checked out and released within 10 mins...
was it right for the fball players to do this... absolutely not, shoudl they have got in trouble.. absolutely!! however.. it was a fight, happens at every school in the country, if these kids werent football players, the DA, the media, the school... NOONE would have got involved..

and to say "the DA made sure of it"

ARE YOU FVCKING KIDDING ME?? the DA will take one some lawsuits when some of these kids are done with college... i already know of 2 of the kids who's lawyers will file a lawsuit the minute they graduate college, the DA in the area loves the spotlight....he has charged numerous psu players only to get laughed at by lawyers and destroyed before the cases even got to court....

believe me, these situations were blown WAY out of proportion...not saying they were ok to happen, but if you dont think shit like this happens all over the place, i got some swamp land to sell you in florida

EDIT*** i just read your post again and i saw you put AD not DA.....sorry about the misunderstanding... but regardless...the AD nor paterno did anything to get these kids out of trouble

Thanks for digging this one up SBD. I couldn't even find it back when.

Anyway, after searing in the frying pan for 10 minutes, you put the old guy back in the pot to cook for a while and this is how it turns out. Paterno should have retired 10 years ago. Apparently the doctor that has been keeping him alive is named Frankenstein.

He appeared to be exactly what he is, an OLD man trying to keep up. JoPa & Bowden are both so afraid that the other will be #1, they're tarnishing their legacies by hanging on way too long. And neither will retire gracefully They'll have to be drug kicking and screaming from their respctive athletic compounds. I've lost some respect for Paterno, that "witch hunt" remark was bush.

Is Bobby Bowden vying for a job I don't know about? I saw an article today where Bobby really went to bat for Joe, and they supposedly are good friends. Not sure where you come from with the Bobby/Joe #1 angle, but look up the article today with where Bobby is interviewed about this.

Yeah, don't bother trying to c&p the link. It's been buried as I thought. But it was ESPN not HBO as I thought. They seem to be very good at sweeping things under the carpet.

I hate to see this shit happen. 46 years is an unbelievable accomplishment, and it's sad for me to see that one child molesting faggot is going to tarnish all he's done.

He reported the shit and it sure does look like management said "lets cover this shit up", and that kind of decision usually involves top management, meaning the president.

I don't know what went on. But I've been involved in the business cycle long enough to know how it can go.

Joe may or may not be made a scapegoat for this. If he had knowledge all along then okay, he deserves it. I just hope that isnt true, cause what he's done for nearly 50 years is remarkable.

And it's for all those reasons why this story and the latest news about the child molestation just blows my mind. It is sad, especially when someone or something as great as this and is as well loved tumbles. But when I think about these things that have been perpetuated for so many years by so many, it makes me very angry. It's as if the entire society built around PSU and Jopa has blundered.

Your exactly right Conan. The more information that comes out about the child molestation and cover up just makes me sicker to my stomach. This has got to be the worse thing that I have ever seen occur in college sports, or sports at any level for that matter. All that are involved should be ashamed and ready to pay the consequences. It's such a shame that nobody stepped up sooner and took it upon themselves to help these kids.

How did/does McQueary sleep at night when he saw Sandusky around the Campus, especially with boys, after seeing what he saw. I just can't comprehend that.

Wow...I guess we now know the real reason he never shook his hand.

Funny, I remember when Sandusky retired.....the Public view was that he got tired of waiting around on Joe and had no interest in leaving so he retired....doesn't seem that was really the case. The guy realistically if Joe Pa had retired a long time ago could have become Head Coach. Imagine that!
