NBC paid $110 million just to broadcast this one game. That's ~$3.4 million per owner.

I would imagine next year they will try and get 2 games in this format given how the NFL operates.

Note: If you live in Miami or KC, the game will be broadcast on your local NBC channel.
They are broadcasting 3 games not just the Miami/kc game. I’m sure the $110 million is for all 3. Texans/browns and lions/rams are also on NBC and Peacock streaming.

I renewed my Peacock subscription yesterday. Cost me $40 for a year. And yet guys claiming to bet hundreds on games are complaining. Lol

What do you think they want out of it?

DTV seemed pretty happy about losing the Sunday Ticket. Now, obviously Google has much more money than DTV and losses are basically dollars to them.
It’s called a loss on paper if they don’t get enough subscribers for Sunday ticket to cover the yearly amount they pay the NFL.

They don’t get enough to cover this .
Neither did DTV

But when you add in the amount of new customers who sign up for the regular tv service it more then makes up the difference .

I had DTV for 15 years straight until this year .
The reason I dropped it is due to losing ST.
I’m just 1 example of millions

It’s kind of like Costco selling hotdogs and pizza slices for a buck . They lose their ass on that . But if it gets you in the door to buy a $2500 tv it’s a win

Ok, so YTV uses it to get more subscribers overall.

Their base is growing. Personally, I got rid of cable in the fall of 2022 and subscribed to YouTube TV. I think it is great.

No interest in the Sunday Ticket as I don't watch that many games. I have the Redzone though.

Interesting:

The Chiefs-Dolphins game on Peacock was the most-streamed live event in US history.

"The ratings for the exclusively streamed game was up 6% over last year’s primetime AFC Wild Card Game that was shown on NBC’s broadcast network."

Next year, they may have 2 games streaming only...

Red Zone is the place to go if you bet or play fantasy. Love it.
