TheRX's 2016 HILTON STYLE CFB SUPERCONTEST (Picks & Standings Thread)

We've done a few different formats in past years... last year I thought went over well, where you pick the winners straight up for all games and also the Margin of Victory. Most winners with smallest overall MOV serving as the tiebreaker.

Also, we've done a Rank the Bowls format where you give confidence points for all games and most points wins.

A couple years running, we used a ranking system where you were limited in what rank you selected so the total of the ranks could not be more than a pre-determined number.

ATS for all games is a possibility. I'm all ears.

What about a "2-in-1"? Games get Picked both ATS and SU, Entry Fee gets Split (and paid out) between the 2 separate contests

Two Separate Contests, in One.

I know you enjoy creating unique Contests that no one else does, this would be that and far far better than anything anyone else puts together, many times more interesting, competitive and exciting than any other Contest out there.

People like SU and others prefer ATS, this satisfies both, pleases Everybody which would be the very first time thats ever been accomplished in World History and also removes all doubt that you are the Best ContestRunner in Forumville by far and create/make available the Best Contest of anyone Online.


Ongoing Leaderboard would show Standings for both an ATS Contest

and also a SU Contest.

"trytrytry" Wins 4th Annual Hilton Style CFB Contest
6-0 Finish Nips 'thekeyman' for Come From Behind Victory

Kudos to "trytrytry", as he becomes our 4th Annual College Football Hilton Style Handicapping Contest winner. Finishing with a flourish, he swept the board and needed every point to edge out runner-up 'thekeyman' by a half point and collects $2600 for his efforts. thekeyman did not go down without a fight, ending the week with a 5-1 mark. His 14-4 record over the L3 weeks was best overall but not quite enough to gain high honors. He settles for a $1300 payout. Bloker and bucknuts will share 3rd & 4th place money ($552.50 each) thanks to a nice rally by bucknuts, gaining 3 points on Bloker in the final week. ECC #2 rounds out the top 5, and picks up $325. Also cashing were #6 Captain Lee ($292.50), #7 Enfuego ($260), #8-9 drega09 & powerz ($211.25 each) and sharing the 10th spot are TNVOLFAN and knickfan ($97.50 each). As usual, lets not forget Betallsports, our trusty banker, who keeps this contest on the up & up every year and this year was no different. The 4th Annual Hilton Style CFB Contest was our biggest and best yet. Here's hoping the growth continues as we anticipate records will fall again in 2017. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone for their contributions.

* On a side note ... I am Happy with my 38 Total points in this contest because I Missed a week and was still on the outer edge for a small piece leading into the

I'm not sure how many spots JOH would want to pay down to, obviously the more spots that pay the better for inspiring participation but paying Top 3 in both SU part and ATS part, may be doable but yeah....Diluting the amount (Level, sheer $$) of Payout is a hurdle to such a thing.

Honestly, and even worse on that note ^^^ actually, if it could be done ("2-in-1" SU/ATS) I'd like to see a GRAND POOBAH PAYOUT for very topmost guy COMBINED ATS + SU. In addition to Top 3 Payout on each side: ATS & SU.

and actually not even money but just some thing BetAllSports can get cheaply or for free even, like, something laying around in his garage, unused....a set of Steak Knives, for example.

I would have taken whatever Degree you do have, this season where 'capping these college football games is concerned

cuz, just for example: ODU was covering way way too much so the linesmaker was getting pissed off so Inflated that -13.5 hosting FIU

and dang Old Dominion still managed to cover for you

LAST YEAR: In a NCAAF Contest elsewhere, that goes ONE MORE WEEK than RXNCAAF does, where I managed due to sheer and total effin' LUCK to close out with a 6-0 to WIN

I closed out over in that one

with a 1-5

to plummet from 3rd Place

and an almost CERTAIN CASH

in a spot where I did need to make up just 1.5 GAMES so beat the leader by 2 games to WIN what proved to be $4200 or so IIRC

...or maybe just $2436....I don't know but it was a substantial amount of money

and would have been a big feather in cap win, for sure
