What about it Rod. Start answering some of your cirtics in here. First, you NEVER wagered 1 large a unit, so just admit that to us. No one in their right mind is going to believe that story. That is a flat out LIE.

Secondly, can you explain your terrible record for last year? Obviously the man owned you last year. One of the worst records I have seen in here.

Next, where are your wagers for this year? The lines are out. Why are you waiting? Certainly a person of your alleged gaming stature should have gotten a shot at wagering the lead lines. How come there are no plays posted by you as of yet? There has been some huge line movement.

Can we get some straight answers from you, or are you just going to duck me like you have ducked everyone else in this thread. A warning. If I do not get answer, I will hound you to death. You claim to be a high roller. You claim to have made people in here major money. You lost your tail last year. Let's see some explinations.

THEERODFATHER

Can any of the Rx veterans here please tell me if this Rod guy is for real or just peddling bogus claims for attention? :think2:

I'm reading conflicting statements by posters in this thread. Some say he's the best, while others lampoon him.

Just looking for some guidance on whether this individual is everything he claims to be.

Is he legit or merely a charlatan? :think2:

Thank you in advance. I am looking forward to contributing to the Rx.

He had the worst season of anyone on this forum from what I could tell. He's probably the worst capper I have seen in terms of money management and gets on loosing streaks that last for weeks. Any positive posts in this thread are pure sarcasm. If he really bet what he said he did, he would have lost over $20,000 last year. Still look at his picks though because he can be an asset if you fade (pick the opposite) him.

Good luck this season buddy!

2008 was indeed bad

Let's see how 2009 goes. I'm ready and willing to give Rodd his chance at a recovery. Smart 'cappers know a person is never as good as their best week or never as poor as their worst week.

I'm hopeful the Rodd will do a better job at money mgmt. this year and even LAY OFF the need to play all televised games. That's just crazy.

Meanwhile, following touts and any RX capper works two ways. Ride the good ones (but do your own work too), or FADE the bad ones (it's best to fade when you already have a lean or liking for the other side). The FADE was in play here last year. What will 2009 bring?

Best of luck Rodd, as we FINALLY approach football season.

I probably play more than the vast majority in here, and I do not budget myself for a potential 160 K loss. quote]

This is the 2nd or 3rd time you have mentioned that you wager more than others, so how much are you wagering on average per game?

That is really none of your business, but I will say this. I am a member of a group that wagers more than the single game limits normally allow, so we must spread our wagers around at different books in Vegas. That is why we have a full time employee who lives in Vegas in the Football season. That person is responsible for making the wagers, collecting the winnings, etc... She gets compensated for this with a small salary, and the knowledge of which games we are going to wager. It is a win-win for her because she simply wagers the amount that she is compensated, so worse case scenario, it cost her some time. She is a single mom, so we all try to help her. We consider it part of the cost of doing business.

The cut and paste below reveals some of the damage from 2008. I did not break out college and NFL separately last year but will probably do so this year. We'll start 2009 at ZERO, and hope the bottom line goes into the positive this time around.

Super Bowl update!
<hr style="color: rgb(253, 222, 130); background-color: rgb(253, 222, 130);" size="1"><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Rodd used a 10K play on the Super Bowl, with Pittsburgh -6.5. That's 100 units and yet another poor result.

TOTAL OVERALL is NOW -1601.5 units ($160,150).

That includes all football!!!

Record: 20-24 -224 units

Bowls Final

- $22,400

The point is this. No one person in here can take a 160K hit and walk away from it, so this guy obviously is lying to us about the amount he wagers. If he lies about that, he will lie about anything. I do not see him in here to deny any of this. A smart Judge once said that if you are innocent, plead your case, but if you are guilty, shut up. Does anyone see a parallel here?

abc,

Are his 2007 stats available?

I did not keep his records but it was a losing year as well. As long as I remember, he never won in any season but his big mouth.

I was so naive to pay him for a full season in sports and end up in big lost.
If he can only win one game out of 5 games for that day, he only mentioned about the only winning game but he never say anything about another 4 losing games. He is the biggest LIAR i have ever known.

Thank you for providing me and others here with a very insightful observation on this apparent pathalogical liar. :toast:

I really do not know what motivates people to lie like this in the realm of gambling. Perhaps it's the Walter Mitty complex? :think2:

There are guys that can drop 160 dimes and I know a few of them. Anyone playing 35 units on a game should really be a strong capper. I mean have knowledge on the teams inside and out.
There are some guys on here that really know their teams and those are the guys you want to listen too. Any gun slinger just throwing 35 units bets should be faded.
