You are right. Violent crime is way down from the 90's by a lot. It is starting to go up a little but no where close to what it was in the 90's. I don't carry when I go out, but I wont knock others that do.

I do believe it is spiraling down. Less morals, having morals seems to be politically incorrect. Very self loving world and everyone is so easily influenced now.
A few years ago I saw 2 black guys run and snatch a purse off a mom pushing her baby in a stroller. They knocked the stroller over without hesitation and took off running. These weren't hungry homeless guys, they were wearing a few pieces of jewelry, nice clean shoes and clothes, hats, nothing about them showed any remorse.

Umm....which is it?

Uh, think you missed my point.

Crime happens...always will. But stats show violent crime in the US is down so you're no worse off now than you were 20 years ago. Violent crime is not up.

You live in Texas. Figures.

And? Plenty of people across the country carry at all times. I carry because I'm required to.

What is mostly sad about all of it, if you were to see it happen and confront them to take the phone back you are being viewed as in the wrong. Remember a few months back the lady that shot a guy breaking in her house and stealing stuff? His family was saying he didn't deserve to die over breaking in and stealing, blah blah blah.

This.
You'll never know, maybe it's better you couldn't run after them, because you may have beaten the shit out of 1-2 kids, and there always can be some fucking libtard around, with his/her smart phone and getting everything what happened on video. Then you just wake up with the police on your head...

Yeah, we live in a totally upside down world, and it's getting just worse every year.

what's the easiest way to get a non-registered pistol? was told I need unregistered guns by a dude that works for homeland....

You can just buy it from an individual who wants to sell. No paperwork required. The serial number will show who originally purchased the gun, but as long as it's sold between people, no records after that.

I'm not sure if that's what you meant by unregistered. The gun will always show who originally bought it.

Yeah, any store, pawn shop, whatever, you will have a paper trail. If you just buy it from an individual no paperwork is required.

Just to put it into perspective how far crime has dropped in California since the 90's, it's like over a 60% drop. Rates did go up in 2015 in LA, but they also moved the goal post on how they figure their numbers, and most of the crime rises were homeless on homeless territory crimes due to there was more homeless on the streets because drug possession was no longer a detainable offense. 2015 rates were still by far lower than they were in the 90's. 2015 may just be a blip, but maybe not.
